ADDER BITES 🐍⚠️

Take care when walking your dog, especially through woodlands, moorlands and heathlands as they can inhabit these areas. They can even be found on beaches and sand dunes ❗️

Adders are the only venomous snakes which live in the UK, and are grey or reddish-brown coloured and have dark zigzag patterns on their backs 🐍

It is a serious emergency if your dog gets bitten. Contact your vet immediately for advice ☎️

🐰 Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease is a widespread, life-threatening virus ⚠️

Often called viral haemorrhagic disease, it is seen frequently in unvaccinated rabbits because it spreads quickly through direct and indirect contact with infected rabbits.

The best way to protect your pet is with regular vaccinations throughout their life. This not only protects them but also decreases the spread of disease.

If you have a pet rabbit and need to check if their vaccinations are up to date, or need to get them booked in, call the clinic and speak to a member of the team.

🐾🐰RABBIT AWARENESS WEEK 2025🐰🐾

📅 Rabbit awareness week will take place between June 23rd-27th and aims to educate on providing rabbits with appropriate housing environments and responsible pet ownership

❔Did you know, sadly, almost a quarter of all rabbits (nearly 180,000) were being kept in runs or hutches that were too small.

Key housing requirements:
✅Exercise area should be 3m x 2m x 1m and their sleeping area should be 1.8m x 0.6m x 0.6m
✅Security from predators
✅Protection from extreme heat and cold, and with adequate ventilation
✅Housing made from non toxic materials as they are chewers
✅Appropriate height - allows bunnies to stand on its hind legs
✅Kept in pairs
