Meet Oreo, a four year old handsome black greyhound who arrived into foster on 4th June. He has gone into a foster home with a female greyhound and Pickle is currently teaching him how to be a good home
hound.

Oreo is in a foster home in a first floor flat in Aberdeen city centre and managed the stairs straight away. He settled at home immediately, had no accidents on his first night and wasn’t worried by the busy traffic outside the house.

Oreo is a gentle, kind greyhound who loves the company of anyone whether human or groo. He has been left for short periods of time in the company of another greyhound and was completely relaxed the entire time he was left. He has also been left on his own for an hour without stress or incident.

Oreo is a fantastic dog to walk on the lead, he isn’t frightened of city traffic or sirens. Although he is alert to things on his walk he has not been reactive.

Oreo hasn’t yet been tested with all sizes of dogs but on walks he appears to be non-reactive towards other breeds on the lead, he will continue his exposure whilst in foster.

Oreo has spent some time with dog aware children between 4-8 years old, he was relaxed and unphased even when the children were excited.

RESERVED - MISTY

This beautiful soul is Misty, a 12 year old whippet

INTERACTIONS:

Misty is currently living with her dog walker, after her elderly owner passed away.

She is looking for a safe comfortable home where she can be doted on as an only dog for her remaining years.

She is a sweet old lady who loves a walk (she is very good on a lead) and exploring the garden. She will play with a soft toy occasionally too.

Misty does not like to be left home alone too long; she has always been used to and loves lots of human company. She loves to lounge and sleep on the sofa, where she spends most of her days (as long as she can see her human!) You can guarantee though that if you are in the kitchen, she will be there too hoping to be fed a wee treat.

Misty has shown reactive jealousy tendencies towards other dogs in the house so she must be the only dog. She has occasionally been snappy / aggressive towards other dogs in her space especially if they are getting attention from her owners or if she gets spooked. When out and about she has no problems with other dogs around her.

Misty has thyroid problems, and is on Thyforon tablets (twice a day in her food). She had pancreatitis a few months ago (she was quite over weight then), but she has recovered well, and is now at a good weight, and is on a low fat diet. She also recently had surgery to remove 10 teeth (bad breath no more!), but she manages fine with her remaining teeth and can eat hard food (kibble etc).

GAGAH has been promised a donation towards Misty's ongoing veterinary care/medication, so this would be covered and we can contribute towards her specific food etc.

Misty is currently in Blackburn, Aberdeen.

Bobby is making the most of this week’s sunshine as who knows what it will be like next week 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chilling with all his friends, he is now very settled with all the dogs.

Bobby just needed time to settle and trust us.

He is out and about on walks much more relaxed. Passing all types of dogs even Yorkies with only a glance.

Bobby has blossomed and I can honestly say that given time and repetition he has become the ideal houndie ❤️
He has always been super affectionate and loves cuddles on the sofa ❤️🐾

We love you Bobby but it’s time you had your very own family.
Bobby lives in a multi dog household and would just love a place of his own or even a lovely lady hound to curl up with.
He has improved so much and is walking well on the lead once he knows the area. He can be strong until he becomes familiar with the environment. A rural, semi-rural place would be ideal.
Bobby loves people and cuddles. He is such a handsome boy too.
