Dear Furry Friends

Despite my best efforts, I am extremely sad to inform you all that “ Hairy Hounds “ will cease to offer Grooming Services from the 4th February.

I am still plagued with the Back Issues that I informed you all about in June last year, where I have been left with no other choice than to stop grooming and focus on my health, to try and combat my back issue and improve my general wellbeing.

Rest assured; this is not a decision I have taken lightly where many avenues have been explored but in order for me to provide a service to the standards I demand I need my health to be in tip-top condition, where currently it is not!

I would like to thank you all for supporting me over the past 6 years, its truly been a great job and I will miss it very much.

All appointments in the diary will be honoured up until February 4th 🐾🐾

Thankyou to everyone who has messaged lately asking how I am.
I was doing really great but then had a setback a couple of weeks ago 😢
I had hoped to be back to work by now but it is looking like Mid August before I am back and I think this will be a slow start back with only a couple of dogs per day.
I know alot of you have been elsewhere to keep up your grooming routines, I have loved seeing pictures of your dogs at other local groomers ❤️🐾

I am sure that most of you are now aware that I am taking some time off work due to an issue with the discs in my Lower Back.
Despite reducing my work load a few months ago, I am still plagued with Back Pain and it is making my Daily Job Very Difficult.
I believe I have been in touch with everyone who has an appointment during the next Month and these have been cancelled.
I am on an intense treatment programme with the Chiropractor, fingers crossed this gives some relief and I can get back to it as soon as possible.
Sending all my Furry Clients a cuddle, I am missing them very much.

Price Increase Effective From 1st April 2022

I appreciate these are difficult times for everyone but due to the increase in running costs for my Business, it is necessary for me to have a small price increase to continue running my Business at the High Standard I currently offer.
There will be a 5% Increase on all services from 1st April 2022.
In turn I do understand if you cannot facilitate the price increase and you wish to book elsewhere, please do just let me know and I can cancel any future appointments you may have booked.

I cannot believe we are back in this position again and back in lockdown, but I do have some positive news!
The Council have confirmed that Groomers can stay open at this time. Grooming is seen to be a matter of animal welfare and travel is allowed to drop off your dog as it is travelling to “ care for an animal “
This is of course subject to change and there has to be social distancing in place so I will ask you to drop off your dog at the appointment time, make sure they are safe and secure in the cabin before you exit the gate.
If you are not happy to attend your appointment, that is absolutely fine and please get in touch to re arrange 🐾

I hope all my Clients had a Lovely Christmas 🎄
As we move into the New Year, I wanted to give you an update as we have moved into Tier 4 of course.
I am able to groom as I work alone but it will be on a drop off/pick up basis with no human contact to minimize any chance of contracting/spreading the virus.
Every dog will be bathed straight away upon entering the cabin.
If anyone is not happy to leave their pet in the cabin then please contact me to re arrange their appointment.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns or questions, I want to make it as safe as possible for us all to continue as normal and keep your dog comfortable by keeping up with their grooming schedule 🐾
I wish you all a Very Happy New Year and Thank You for your continued support. Lets hope its a much better Year for all of us.
