We received a massive 54% increase in dogs handed over to us between 20th December and 2nd January compared with the same time last year, with 127 unwanted dogs handed in during this two week period alone!

Over a third of these handovers were puppies like fourteen-week-old Puggle Ben here - who was bought online on Christmas Eve.

Hi, found a Working Cocker male dog earlier today whilst walking at Castle Fraser. No collar and no owners around. Took to Vet in Inverurie, has chip registered in 2011 at a Sunderland postcode. Police coming to collect so get in touch with them on 101 if it's your dog.

Practicing emergency down 🐶⬇️ This is a good trick to have and could come in useful if there is an aggressive dog around. Your dog is instantly less threatening if it's in a down position.
