Sidney had his first ever puppy groom and was such a calm and confident chap on the table that we managed to do a paw trim ✂️🤩

Little Jack Russell mix Ralphie smashed his puppy intro today, what a superstar 🤩
Poppy was the best behaved girl as usual, leaving a whole Labradors worth of hair behind and wiggle-bum Link the Standard Schnauzer was a complete gentleman 😍🐾

Been a knackering Saturday here in the salon!
Sweet little Dolly had her first ever groom and was so brave 😍
Hoagy and Peg Schnauzers as well behaved as ever, new little Betsy Chihuahua took everything in her stride and Merlin St.Bernard covered me in slobber and I swallowed far too much of his hair 😂🐾

Taking a calm and caring approach with puppy intros to grooming. This helps desensitise them to all the noises and feelings of being groomed that can be scary for a young pup to deal with. Dogs aren’t usually ‘naturally’ a fan on being groomed, I use lots of treats and encouragement to give positive reinforcement and a pleasant experience with me, setting them up for a smooth transition in to a full groom. So you, and especially your pup know, that they’ve got a friend in me! 🥰🐾 (Thank you to little Archie for being my model)
