🐾❄️ Choosing the right dog coat is essential to keep your pup warm and comfy during chilly walks! 🐕

When picking a coat, consider your dog's breed, size, and activity level. Look for something that’s waterproof, wind-resistant, and easy to put on. Make sure it’s snug, but not too tight, so they can move freely.

Did you know at our Pets Place store, we offer dog coats available in a range of sizes? Visit our store today to get that perfect coat!

🐾 Today is Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day 🐾

Canine lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in dogs, but early detection and treatment can make a big difference. Let’s raise awareness about this condition and help spread the word on recognising the signs.

If you notice unusual lumps, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss, or fatigue in your dog, please reach out to your vet. Awareness and vigilance are key to helping them through this journey.
Let’s come together to support those affected and raise awareness about this disease. Our pets rely on us to care for them every step of the way.

🐾 Meet our team🐾

Emma is one of our skilled veterinary nurses here at Ipswich Veterinary Centre. She studied at Berkshire College while gaining hands-on experience at the RSPCA Animal Hospital in Harmsworth.

A typical day for Emma begins with morning admissions, where she greets clients and helps their pets settle in for treatment or procedures. After admissions, she moves on to weight clinics, ensuring pets are maintaining a healthy weight and discussing diet plans with their owners. Emma also handles nail trims, helps with routine and emergency appointments, and assists the vets during surgeries, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Throughout the day, she provides pet care advice, answering any questions and educating owners on how to best care for their animals at home.

Emma’s love for animals carries over into her home life. She has a 5-year-old cat named Sweep, a 4-year-old Amazon Blue Fronted parrot called Rico, a 7-year-old rescue dog named Georgie, a Leopard Gecko named Pablo, and a Silver Boa named Monty Python.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys getting creative with arts and crafts alongside her children, as well as paddle boarding and swimming.
