Vet Louise recently performed some rather challenging small mammal surgery! 🐾

Susan, a Coronet Guinea Pig who belongs to RVN Naomi, recently had a hard mass removed from her chest.

The mass was sent away for histopathology and identified as a sarcoma.

Luckily, Susan recovered well from surgery and was eating shortly after waking up! 🥬

Today is World Wildlife Day! 🦔

This feral pigeon was brought to the practice by a member of the public with severe head wounds, likely caused by other birds.
This obscured his vision and made feeding a struggle.

RVN Naomi has spent the last 2 months rehabilitating him back to health, which initially involved assisted feeding until his eyes started to re-open and daily wound care.

He will hopefully soon move to his "soft release" aviary where he will be able to slowly reintegrate into the wild. ❤️

This position is for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the fantastic, professional team of RVN's who work at our state-of-the-art, independently run Surgical Referral Centre in Ipswich.

This position is either full or part-time and previous referral nursing is not a necessity as training will be offered to the lucky candidate. With weekends, bank holidays and out-of-hours being required, but split evenly between the nursing team. Your yearly RCVS fees are paid for and CPD is highly encouraged.
