A friendly, well equipped practice offering excellent care for your pets. Christchurch Veterinary Surgery was opened in 2001, by Shane and Charlotte Morrison.

In 2011 we opened a new building at Tuddenham Road business centre, where our referral department (which deals with complex surgeries) was moved to. All of our vets are very experienced. We are an independent, family run business, who strive to deliver the best service for your pets, with a personal touch.

This position is for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the fantastic, professional team of RVN's who work at our state-of-the-art, independently run Surgical Referral Centre in Ipswich.

This position is either full or part-time and previous referral nursing is not a necessity as training will be offered to the lucky candidate. With weekends, bank holidays and out-of-hours being required, but split evenly between the nursing team. Your yearly RCVS fees are paid for and CPD is highly encouraged.

Pippa ate a bun full of currants! Luckily her owner knew that these can be toxic to dogs if ingested. He brought her in for us to make her sick. She brought up all of the currants and luckily did not make a mess of her long ears thanks to her lovely up-do! Check out the incredible signposting, designed and created by @tiddlesandco 😍 We hope to see a lot more of @tiddlesandco ‘s designs around the practice in the future!🌟 Whilst waiting for your appointment, please check out our feline specific reading material on topics such as neutering, medicating your cat, puzzle feeding, and much more! There are also ‘Feliway’ sprayed towels available to place over your cat carrier whilst you wait. These provide a physical barrier, to reduce visual triggers for your cat. The device seen in this video, is a nebuliser. We use a nebuliser before and after surgery, to assist in maintaining a clear, open airway. We alter our General Anaesthetic protocol for our brachycephalic patients. This is to try and reduce the risks that are increased in these breeds due to the differences their anatomy.
