😺Introducing Cassie😺

Cassie is a 7 year old, black and white female who has been in our care for 1 year and 5 months, in which time she has seen a failed rehoming.

She is in very good health, fully vaccinated and neutered so is ready to go to her forever home straight away.

Cassie can be a little aloof and is quite independent but once she gets to know you, she enjoys having cuddles (on her own terms of course!)

Cassie is best suited to a one - cat household and due to having no experience with children, is only to be placed with older children or only adults.

Cassie has been waiting so patiently for her forever home where she can feel safe and settled for such a long time. If you can provide the time and space she needs and are cat - free + have no children/ only older children she might just be the perfect companion for you!

If you are interested, please contact us for more details.

😺Introducing Marley😺

Marley is a gorgeous 3 year old black and white male who has been waiting for a loving, forever home since the end of July.

He is in great health and is neutered + vaccinated, meaning he would be ready to go to a new, permanent home immediately!

Marley adores human attention, however, he is not suited to be with other cats OR children.
He is also an outdoor cat.

So, if you're looking for a loyal and extremely affectionate new furry friend, plus have a cat + child - free home, you might be able to give Marley the loving home he deserves!

If you're interested, please contact us for more details.

Hello our wonderful supporters. We are finally able to turn our attention to converting our remaining "old" block of pens to a new facility where we plan to house our longer term residents. The plan is to provide some areas for them to sleep and to take cover from the elements inside the building together with easily accessible outside runs. We have the funds but are seeking a reliable local designer to plan the work for us so we can engage builders to carry out the work in the new year. Any recommendations would be very gratefully received.

Our shop needs volunteers. We ask individuals to commit to one morning a week (Monday to Saturday) 10-12 to be part of a two person team taking payments in our on site shop in Ipswich. They get a chance to interact with the cats in our care and there are always staff on hand to deal with any issues. We invite applications from anyone interested. Please use our specific volunteer application form which can be found on our website or you can visit our shop to collect a copy. It can also be emailed to you on request.

With apologies, due to staff shortages there will be no Vet Clinic at our Centre tomorrow (Thursday 31st July). We intend to be back to normal next week. If you were intending to attend tomorrow please call us to discuss alternatives.

Open Day! Saturday 9th August. 10-12. We have so many cats at the moment, like all other rescues, so intend to hold an open day where the focus will be on rehomings. There will be refreshments and the shop will be open. At our recent 100th Anniversary Fayre we rehomed 7 cats so we hope to at least replicate this so we can free up some space to allow the many needy animals on our waiting list to come in.

100 for 100
2025 marks the 100th Anniversary of our charity. To mark this occasion we have launched the “100 for 100” Appeal. We are seeking 100 individuals, companies or organisations to donate £100 each to reach our target (although all donations of whatever size are obviously more than welcome!) The money will enable us to increase the number of cats we can rehome and expand the level of support we offer to pet owners throughout Suffolk.

Donations can be made through Paypal through our website or page, by direct bank payment (details available on request by emailing us), cash and cheque by post or card in person only at our Centre.

We have for sale a Beko washing machine. It was only purchased at the end of October last year before we upgraded to a Commercial Machine. The shop is open again! Big shout out to our friends from AXA who came to help us paint the front room and hallway last week as part of their Global Day of Giving. And the staff and shop volunteers who have worked tirelessly to empty and then replace the shop items. Come and have a look soon!

Well, after several days of prep we are all ready for Decorating Day tomorrow! Our cat rescue centre remains open for rehomings as usual, but visitors will have to come down the side rather than through the building. Despite the success of our Spring Fayre, we do still have cats looking for their new home, so do please contact us, and spread the word to others.
