DOG FOOD APPEAL!

We are slowly running out of food for our wonderful dogs. Due to the large amount of dogs that will be coming in in the following weeks we need to replenish our food store as we are very low especially on grain free food!!

With so many of our dogs needing extensive rehab we go through a lot of food especially with our long term stays.

I do not take same day bookings so I cannot take your pets if you are turned away.

CPC 11 Tips for Cool Pets 😎

CPC tips for keeping your pets cool 1. Provide a piece of food frozen in an ice cube (or even just the ice cube like with Daisy here) 2. Put a towel in the fridge then place into enclosure (please make sure your pet won’t ingest part of or tear up the towel) 3. Place an ice pack near the housing for your pet to lay against 4. Use a fan (be sure your pet cannot chew the wire) 5. Place frozen peas in their water dish (check if peas are suitable for your pet to eat first 6. Provide shade 7. Check water often and refill if it’s warm 8. Use a bath or pool (if suitable for the pet, some animals including rabbits can be shocked by the cold water) 9. Brush/bathe them to remove excess fur/feathers 10. Limit exercise 11. Know your animal’s needs; dogs, degus, rabbits, and ESPECIALLY chinchillas will struggle with the heat. Check your pet regularly.

Zeke was the last pet to be picked up this month, so now I have no boarders for the first time since September 3rd! Huge thanks to everyone who boarded with me in September and October, I hope to see you all again soon 😊

Banjo and Betsy are enjoying their new run! 🐰 I’m thinking of putting this in the pet room for boarders, possibly getting two and making a nice big enclosure.
