Well it has already started, the 'Out with the old and in with the New' - older cats being dumped, given away for free on social media sites and the likes of Gumtree or just abandoned so they can get their new little kitten for Christmas. In the last few weeks I have taken in a pregnant cat dumped in a bag in the vets car park, another older cat dumped in a carrier in the vets car park, a mum and 4 month old son who I have had to take to the vets every week as both have ulcerated eyes and are not well and an old cat that was just getting 'a bit too much to cope with'. Some people really shouldn't be allowed animals - now just waiting until after Christmas when the novelty of the new little kitten for the kids has worn off and they need to get rid and so the hamster wheel continues
