I do have a video but I need to do a little work on it. This haul is collars and leads. Red for Simon, blue also in the long line and collar. Bennet’s are black, Phee’s is pink and there’s a triple splitter lead for when I take them all out together. It’s day 35 guys and tummy and chest rubs are very welcome along with the butt scratches. He quite likes being brushed too. He comes out now and then but he does tend to drag his food and water under the bed in the night. He’s calmer, more waggy and seems to like it here. Sometimes he looks like he really wants to be among us but just can’t quite get there yet. He has a cheeky personality but is very submissive to the other dogs. I keep a close eye but I’m lucky as my 2 just want to be friends. I keep their visits short. Bennet sleeps under the bed with Simon. They were good friends in the shelter.

So, I’ve been on Amazon and done a big shop for dog accessories. I’m going to do an unboxing tomorrow if it all arrives together. I don’t usually bother but they’re going to look gorgeous in their new collars

Day 31 of Simon’s new life. As you know he lives under my bed now. It’s been about a week since he moved there. I forgot what I was doing and gave his bum a good old scratch. He wagged, and turned to look and I thought he’d move away. No! He put his chin in my hand and let me stroke all over his face and his ears. Big step forward for this timid boy

Today is bath day for dogs in the Dewar household. Phee is delighted, Bennet hasn’t a clue and Simon’s under the bed!

Very small update. I’ve been sitting by my bed for 10 minutes at a time, just chatting away. I always offer my hand before I go. Simon licked me tonight!

Day 22. Simon has met my mum and wagged his tail. He looked quite comfy with her talking to him and sitting near him. I found him out on a bed in the living room last night. He did skedaddle back in the crate in a bit of a panic, but he was fine with he stroking his leg and helping him calm back down

Completely missed his 2nd birthday on the 1st of March! Day 11, planning peanut butter and banana pup cakes for the weekend

Day 10. Still not coming out in the day very much. Refuses to even allow me close enough to get a slip lead on. He is very good though and will only go on a puppy pad. Had a fight with the blinds and won. Doesn’t like the new hoover and has decided the blue plant pot he pinched is the best thing ever. But he’s definitely less wary of being in a house. I just think this little lad needs time

Simon, day 7. No tap dancing in the kitchen til 6 am. Little pile of empty plant pots on the floor. Hallway - he’d piddled on the puppy pad. Living room, usually the scene of chaos but only a blanket pulled off a chair. He’s adopted a little blue plant pot too. Cutie in his den

Well, well, well. 2 old friends making an approach! Just rescued a ball of wool from Simon and replaced it with a tennis ball and a rope toy

Good morning from the 4 am rambler! Much more interested in house life this morning. Bennet slept in the living room near him til Simon started wandering

He’s been properly sleeping since around 10 pm last night, with food and drink breaks. I brought his den in for comfort so maybe he’ll move in overnight. He does seem more relaxed about me and nearly took a treat from me earlier

First and foremost, Simon came to me via Final Stop Rescue. They do wonderful work supporting, fostering and adopting all kinds of deserving dogs. Simon is just one and I’ll post his story, as much as I know of it, here. Thank you to the kind people in the other groups I post in for suggesting this
