Did you know that black cats take the longest to be adopted from rescue centres? This could be linked back to old fashioned superstitions surrounding them.

Cat's Protection started Black Cat Awareness Day in 2011 to spread awareness of their plight.

🌈 It has been a week for sad news.
Earlier this week another of my clients passed away. Beautiful, elegant Winifred lived a long and happy life with her loving family of humans, cats, chickens and guinea fowl.
A refined lady, she loved nothing more than curling up with her Siamese siblings for a nap, or warming her paws on a cosy lap.
My thoughts are with her family Genevieve and Allan during this sad time.
Rest in peace, sweet Winifred 🌈❤️

🌈 Earlier this week I received the devastating news that my first ever client, the beautiful Pepper, had passed away in sudden and tragic circumstances.
Pepper was a sassy, spicy, fabulous tabby lady who set firm boundaries, loved shouting at her staff, patrolling her beautiful garden and napping under her trees or on the sofa with her humans and her favourite green blanket.
I admired her tenacious spirit, she was very much my kind of cat.
My heart goes out to Pepper's human Sarah and her family. Rest in peace, Pepper. You are greatly missed by all who knew you ❤️🌈

🌈 Deeply saddened to hear that one of my regular clients Missy crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.

Missy was a fabulous, floofy, sassy lady who lived a lovely long life. She was certainly aware that she landed on her paws when she met her hoomum! I'll miss her shouting at me for her breakfast in bed while sheperding me in the right direction. RIP Missy, you were a legend!

Devastated to hear of the passing of one of my regular clients, beautiful Izzy. Izzy was a sassy lady with a beautiful big Bengal voice. I'm going to miss getting rounded up by her for lap snuggles and hearing her sing the song of her people. There's nothing quite like being bossed around by an elderly Bengal. I loved every minute.
Izzy lived a good long life but it is never easy to lose one of our fur family. Rest in peace, sweet Izzy. My love and sympathy are with her loving humans, Genevieve and Allan ❤️💔🌈
