Is your furry friend feeling itchy or uncomfortable?

Dog allergies can show up in many different ways - here are some key signs to look out for.

❗Face: Hair loss, swelling, red/watery eyes
❗Skin: Red, scaly patches, odour (if infected)
❗Paws: Dry skin, redness, discolouration
❗Haircoat: Redness, bare spots, discolouration
❗Ears: Waxy discharge, redness

Behavioural signs can also indicate allergies. Look out for excessive licking, scratching, rubbing against furniture, biting feet or pads, and restless or irritated behaviour.

Common allergens can come from many sources. Environmental factors like pollen and dust, contact allergens such as cleaning products and bedding, and food allergies (often proteins but also dairy, wheat, rice, soy, corn, etc.) can all be culprits.
