We are celebrating a birthday this month at the practice. Aireworth Vets is 30! In June 1994 the building on Aireworth Road was completed and first opened its doors to treat the pets of Keighley and beyond! 30 years on we are still here for all our lovely clients and of course their pets!
By keeping pets cool, we could save lives! Here are some top tips for the hotter days ahead.
Its National Puppy Day!
If you have a new puppy in your life why not book onto our puppy club. These four weekly sessions run on a Wednesday evening at 7pm & aim to teach essential information about your puppies first year & gives your puppy an opportunity to socialise with other puppies in a controlled environment.
Puppies must be fully vaccinated & be a maximum of 6 months old.
Early Firework Prep
Most pets HATE fireworks, so let’s get prepared for it now. In the weeks/months leading up to fireworks, try the below tips to help reduce their stress levels
Make sure your pet is microchipped and all details are up to date. The small chance they get out the house, you’ll be glad they are chipped.
Pheromone diffusers are great at easing your pet's anxiety levels, pop a few around the house. Do this at least a few weeks before firework season starts.
Depending on your pet's level of fear there are various supportive treatments or products that we may recommend. The earlier we chat, the more time we have to help your pet feel more comfortable.
World Pet Memorial Day
Join us in lighting a candle to remember all the pets we have lost.

Meet Ted the latest recipient of our VIP award. Ted came to the surgery after his owner noticed a lump under his chin. The lump turned rather nasty and required Ted to be admitted to the surgery for some tests. He then underwent surgery to have a drain placed. After a bit of a rocky recovery and lots of TLC from our nursing Ted has made a full recovery. He made an impression on Amie one of our qualified nurses who nominated him for the award. Look how happy he is to receive it. Well done Ted!
Happy New Year from all at Aireworth Vets, We’d like to thank all our clients for placing your trust in us to look after your pets and we really hope that 2022 brings you and your pets nothing but health and happiness! We wish you all the best for 2022!
