🧡🧡🧡🧡 POLYS HAS A NEW HOME 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Some incredible pics of Polys!!!

We have a wonderful update on Polys in his new furever home... suh a lovely turn out for him after his previous owner sadly went into hospital and was no longer able to take care of him ❤️‍🩹

"Gorgeous old boy Polys is doing great and we're so grateful we were able to adopt him. (We do still want to rename him, but are being very indecisive or nothing suits him - my other half is currently pushing for Russell!)

He's really confident, and after having a good look around every single inch of his new home on the first day, he settled in really easily. He's very confident, very nosey (he has to see everything we're doing!), and likes his routine (he reminds us about his tea at 5pm!).

He's very playful and boisterous, and you wouldn't know he is 14! Despite his arthritis, he tears around the place like crazy, loves to attack anything that moves under bed covers, and makes us laugh when he jumps out from hiding. (He's very funny and a little mad! 🤣) Although he's also very easy, and no bother at all, and goes to bed as soon as we do, without a peep until we're up! 🙏🏻

He's not a lap cat, but happy for a leg rub or a brief cuddle now and then, and loves being around us and being in his bed on the sofa with us. We adore him, and feel very lucky to have him spend his senior years with us. 😻"

Polys sounds very lucky to have found such a great match and a lovely home, we are so pleased for him and wish him nothing but the best ❤️❤️

⛔️⛔️🖤🖤 NEW INTAKE MEET KERMIT 🖤🖤⛔️⛔️

We have another new intake we would like you all to meet.....

This tiny little sweetheart is the lovely Kermit....and he has come to us from the vets after being handed in and found in a bad way 😥💔

Poor Kermit was so cold when he arrived at the vets and he is only 5 weeks old bless him.... he is now getting lots of warmth and food, along with lots fo love from all our team members ❤️❤️❤️

❤️❤️❤️❤️ BELLA AND TOMMY REHOMED!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have a lovely update on Bella (was Belle) and Tommy who have found their new home together!!!

These guys came to us as sadly their previous owner could no longer look after them.... but after a short week at our centre they quickly found their new f
furever home and we are so incredibly happy for them! 🐾❤️

"Hi! Just wanted to send you a quick update on Bella (previously Belle) and Tommy. They have settled in so well - from day one they happily came out of their carrier and started exploring and climbing all over us and everything in sight.

They are very playful and affectionate and love a cuddle after dinner. They're also inseparable and love to play fight when they aren't running around at full speed! Bella is the boss even though Tommy likes to pretend he is by pouncing on her when he thinks she's not looking 😂

From the moment they cuddled us in the rescue centre it was like they were meant for us so thank you very much for matching us with them 😊😻🖤🤍"

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹⛔️⛔️ MEET VALENTINE AND KITTENS ⛔️⛔️❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Please meet our new intakes who have just arrived at our centre today.... this is mummy Valentine and her kittens Romeo, Juliet and Truffles 🐾❤️

Sadly these guys were handed over to a neighbour, as their previous owner had become very unwell and was no longer able to take care of them 💔☹️

Mum is 3 years old and kittens are 7 weeks old..... they are in seemly good condition despite being a little on the skinny side. They are absolutely wolfing down their food poor babies ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

These guys will be going off to foster together where they can get some much needed TLC and support, and put on some nice healthy weight ❤️

You are safe now babies welcome to the YCR family 🥺❤️‍🩹❤️

☺️☺️🐾🐾 NATIONAL HUGGING DAY 🐾🐾☺️☺️

Today is an extra special day..... because not only is it Tuxedo Tuesday, but it is also national hugging day 🥺

Did you know interacting with your pets such as petting and snuggling them, releases oxytocin also now as the 'love hormone' and helps you bond together!! Of course every cat is different while some love a snuggle... others might not! ❤️

If you have a snuggly cat today is the day to have a lovely cuddle.... or for those cats who aren't a big fan, a fun toy or teddy for them to snuggle can be super comforting for them 🐾🐻

Hello everybody I'm Alfie!

I was just wondering if anybody has applied to adopt me yet? 😸

I did leave YCR a little while ago.... but sadly I have had to come back as that home didn't work out for me....I think it's because I get a little bit overstimulated at times need my own space when I feel this way ❤️‍🩹❤️

I can still be a very affectionate boy who loves kisses and I have a very loud purr! I would just need my need human to understand my needs and knows when it's getting a bit much ❤️

I would really love to find a new home soon..... the tea are doing all they can to make me feel comfortable, but I would much perfect a cozy home to call my own....please visit my profile of you'd like to apply for me 🐾🥰

💙💙💙💙 CHESTER IN HIS NEW HOME UPDATE 💙💙💙💙

We have a lovely rehoming update on sweet boy Chester, who came to YCR after his previous owners sadly moved away and were unable to take him with them ❤️‍🩹

"We want to give you an update about our gorgeous boy Chester.
He's settled in beautifully, when we first arrived home, he took one look at the utility room we had set up for him, and thought nope, not being shut in again, so he slipped past us and disappeared under the sofa. So we left him totally alone and as we have a through lounge kitchen we pottered about and cooked tea, then settled on the sofa for the evening, 4 hours later he came out, then within 10 minutes was sat on the sofa on our laps!!

He has put on weight, and loves company so much he has free run of the whole house, and sleeps on the bed at night. He's a real sweetheart, so gentle and loving, loves lap sitting, head buts and sitting on the dining room seats to get a great view of what's going on. He's very vocal and a right chatterbox. And enjoys treats, ham cheese, and especially Chicken!!

He gets unsettled if the doorbell rings and has taken a while to get used to the front opening, his default hiding place is under our bed, but we don't worry as we let him take everything at his own pace. We haven't introduced him to the garden yet, as he can still be unsettled occasionally and we will leave it until early February, with us both with him to get used to it. But he's shown no interest in going out at the moment, and is just happy to be in our company.

We love him to bits, he's perfect for us, and such great company he even helps me in my craft room!"

What a fantastic update, we are so proud of you Chester for taking everything in your stride and settling in so well with your new family ❤️ Thank you so much for the incredible update!

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹‼️‼️ SHELBY AND BENTLEY ‼️‼️❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Over the weekend we have a very unexpected call about these 2 cuties... Shelby and Bentley 💔

One of our telephone volunteers took a call from an Uber Eats driver, who found 2 4 month old kittens outside in a box while he was out delivering 😓😓

He has tried so many rescues to see if anybody could take them but was having no luck.... we agreed to go and meet him and met him straight away, but sadly when he opened the car door this poor girl bolted out and was hiding under the car 💔

She then climbed into the back of the engine, poor girl was so scared and didn't understand that we were trying our best to help her 😢 Thankfully Pete (Spuds dad and partner to our CEO Lynn) trained as a mechanic when he was younger, and together they jacked the car up and after 2 long hours managed to free this poor girl!! She was limp at one moment and they thought they had lost her, but thank god she came around as was seemly fine just very scared 😔💔

Thanks to both their determination they managed to get her out safely... Pete you are incredible our kitties are very lucky to have you around ❤️

Both babies are now safe, they are a little dirty and bruised but being safe is all that matters right now!!

Shelby and Bentley you might not realise it now but this is the start of a new beginning for you and things are going to turn around for the better ❤️❤️

Some more lovely photos of Freckles new babies..... we just can't get over the cuteness 🍼🐾

Babies have their sweet little names, in order of the photos we have Espresso, Tyson, Domino, Jesse, Mo and Marshmallow 💞

Freckle is doing an amazing job at being a mum.... it's hard work looking after this many babies but she is doing really well!! They are already putting on weight really well and little Marshmallow is already trying to move around and has found their little voice ❤️

💛💛💛💛 RUMBLE IN HIS NEW HOME 💛💛💛💛

We have a lovely rehoming update from Rumble (was Gordon) all settled with his new furever family ❤️

Rumble came to us as a stray who was living on the streets with his siblings...... and he was very shy and quiet when he first arrived at our centre 💔❤️‍🩹 We knew in time he would come out of his shell and thrive in a home environment, and that is exactly what has happened! 😍

"Hello, Just wanted to update you on adoptee, Gordon, now renamed ‘Rumble’ after his super-loud purr. He’s an absolutely beautiful, playful smoochy boy, who has brought lots of joy to our home; something we missed after losing our beloved elderly cat. He is still a little shy, and is quite a fussy eater, but when he gets the opportunity to snuggle up, he goes all out - he loves kisses on the nose and stretching full length across our arms. Thank you, to everyone at YCR for looking after him so well, and us when we picked him last week."

Thank you for such an amazing update we are so pleased for you all! It looks like Rumble has really fallen on his paws and is living his best life with you!! ❤️

💕💞💕💞 CATHY AND HEATHCLIFF 💞💕💞💕

We have another wonderful bonded pair... please Meet our new intakes Cathy and Heathcliff 🥰

They are 1 years old and were brought to us as strays who were found out living on the street originally, then they were adopted by a wonderful lady who loved them dearly, unfortunately she has become very ill and her family are unable to look after them.
We always take YCR babies back no matter what the reason is.

They love being around each other and are super cuddly and friendly with humans despite all that they've been through ❤️

They do have cat flue so are a little bit sniffly at the moment... so if you would like to give them home your other resident cats would need to be fully vaccinated ❤️‍🩹

They are super loving and deserve to settle down together and get all the love that they are craving.... ❤️❤️❤️

We hope their mummy knows that we will make sure they get the very best care and new home ❤️

💜💜💜💜 SUZY AND BABIES IN FOSTER 💜💜💜💜💜

Foster update on mummy Suzy and her 5 little kitties, all doing super well in foster ☺️

'Suzy’s kids, all kittens growing rapidly now ,alternating playtime with group naps😻mum is very happy and relaxed that kids have an enthusiastic auntie to occupy their playtime, though she has been known to join in play as well. Smudge is the dominant kitten in size and attitude, takes after his dad, but still loves attention and cuddles, first to come running ❤️ Suzy loves her hooman attention now 🥰"

These guys are just adorable and are doing so incredibly well.... Suzy is such a fantastic mama and you can see it in her kittens and how amazing they are ☺️ We can't wait for these guys to go off to their new homes when they have finished growing a little bit more ❤️

🥰🥰💕💕 FLOYD UPDATE IN HIS NEW HOME 💕💕🥰🥰

We have another fabulous rehoming update from Floyd (was Peanut)!

"Floyd is doing brilliantly! He settled in really quickly and it is hard to believe that he has only been with us for 2 weeks. He gets on brilliantly with Rogan and Roux, his new canine sisters. 10pm crazy playtime with Rogan is already a regular thing! He's also become a real snuggle puss and loves his cuddles. The perfect addition to our family. Thank you YCR for giving him a second chance and also to his foster family for sending the feather stick which is still his favourite!"

What a little cutie you are Floyd!!! We are so pleased you have a loving new home and to hear that you have some lovely new friends 😍

❤️❤️🍼🍼 LITTLE BARNABY UPDATE 🍼🍼❤️❤️ Here is a little video of baby Barnaby in foster, for your daily dose of cutness 🥺 He is slowly but surley putting on more wieght which is just amazing as kittens that are hand reared can loose weight so quickly, so he is doing fab so far 🥰 It is such a touch and go situtaion but we just have to take it day by day, and his fosterer is doing a fantastic job with him...staying up through the night to make sure he's ok and doing constant and regular feeds... Baby Boo's surgery confirmed

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 BOO BOO'S SURGERY CONFIRMED ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Uncle Spud doing what he does best and looking after the poorly kittens at Spud Towers, poor Boo Boo needed some comforting to help him feel better ❤️🐾 Poor Boo Boo is still really struggling with his eye and is still in a very touch and go situation. The socket is starting to get infected again and despite our constant efforts to clean it, it is just becoming too dangerous to hold off surgery any longer 💔❤️‍🩹 He's been with our CEO Lynn who's being fattening him up and getting him as ready as possible for the surgey, and we now have a date which will be this Thrsday at 08:30am so we would really appretiate everone keeping their fingers crossed or him ❤️‍🩹 He will be having what is known as an 'Eye Enucleation' which basically means they will have go deep into his eye socket to find and remove the tiny eyeball he has back there which is causing the infections. It is a very complex surgery especially on such a small kitten, but at this stage we are left with no choice as we can't leave poor Boo in pain any longer 💔 He's on medication and pain relief but it just isn't cutting it anymore ❤️‍🩹😔 Thank you so much to everbody who has donated towards his treatment we are so grateful to you all, and we also thank you for all the love, comments, shares and overall support we have received in this time as that helps us massively too ❤️ Another big thank you to everybody who also donated for Flutter, as even though we sadly lost her we still have all her vet bills to pay for. We are still waiting on Flutters invoice which will finalise how much it will cost, but with both her and Boo to pay for our monthly cost is going to be over and above our standard vet bills ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 If anybody is still able to donate we would massivley appretiate it, and any money left over from Flutter will be going towards

⛔️⚠️⛔️⚠️ ANOTHER FLEA EMERGENCY ⚠️⛔️⚠️⛔️ Warning this is not a very pleasent watch but we feel it's important to share... We've had another urgent intake of a mum and her kittens who are absoulety overrun with fleas... 💔 These videos were taken AFTER staff had already tried to comb a lot of them out... so you can imagine what they looked liked when they first arrived 😔 As you can see in the video their gums are completely white and they are not very playful the way you would expect kittens to be at this age... which indicates another case of aneamia from too much blood loss 💔 After the devestating loss of Sonny and the recent update of River & Cove, it's heartbreaking to see more and more of these cases happening 😓 We again just wanted to bring awareness to how important flea treatments are and keeping on top of them... Priscilla Update

💗💗 Princess Priscilla Update 💗💗 Priscilla has been for her check up at the vets, who were very pleased as she has put on a lot of weight in the 8 days since she was hospitalised! She unfortuently has no immune system and no good bacteria inside her to fight off infection, so we need to be super careful with her and make sure she doesn't go in the wrong direction...❤️ She will be on gastro food and forti flora for the first 3 months of her life with a very very gradual move onto standard foods... As you can see this poor mama and babies did not arrive in the best state, as unfortunatley their owner had become unwell and was unable care for them 😓 They have been taken for an urgent vet appointment to check out their poorly eyes, which are very sore and painful...
