🐾 A Day in the Life of Buddie 🐾

Beauty sleep is a must—no exceptions! Once I’m well-rested, it’s time for some football fun. After the humans are up and about, we head to the park where I get to showcase my impressive skills, especially when I find the biggest stick around! Once we’re back home, I earn a well-deserved treat and, being the good boy I am, I offer my paw. Finally, I curl up by the fire for a peaceful nap, basking in the glory of a day well spent.

🐾 Buddie loves training and picks things up very quickly. He enjoys playing out with his football, going for walks and then coming home for a cuddle! He’s super loving.

✅ He’s housetrained and travels well in the car

🐶 He’s unsure of other dogs. He is not aggressive, but needs reassurance as he feels confused whether to sniff, play or back away. He’d be best as the only dog in the home

🏡 He would be better suited to an experienced home. He is strong and is working on his training

🐈 He has previously lived with cats, but not for some time now. He could possibly live with a cat again if you are open to doing slow introductions and are able to manage the space to ensure all interactions are under observation for the first few weeks.

🚸 We don't know if he has been around children much. As such we would only place with sensible older children (11+)

You can find more information on Buddie following this link to our website - https://www.aireworthdogsinneed.co.uk/our-dogs/buddie/

We are very pleased to announce that Moses has chosen his people.....and sofa 🩵.

Some of of you may recall seeing videos of Moses running up to cars looking very anxious, skinny and severely matted after being dumped by his previous owners.

We would like to thank Busters Animal SOS Team 🐾🐾 West Yorkshire, particularly Viv, for spending endless hours searching and capturing Moses. Then Viv and Gary fostered Moses whilst we looked for his new family. Thank you to Heidi at The soggy doggy salon for grooming him and getting rid of his horrible mats. To the wonderful supporters of Aireworth Dogs in Need and Busters who donated towards his care. Thank you Aireworth Vets Pets for his care and treatment over these past few months. And finally a huge thank you to Maria and David who opened their hearts and home to Moses. He is a fabulous, friendly and loving boy. He will want for nothing.

🐾 Meet Teddy! 🐾
A playful, loving 2 year old French Bulldog. He’s full of joy with the heart and soul of a puppy.

❤️‍🩹 Sadly, Teddy has been diagnosed with BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), a condition that makes it hard for him to breathe and affects his overall health meaning he can’t live to his full potential.

He also has a suspected tumour on his eye which will need removing.

The cost for the BOAS surgery alone is estimated to be just over £1700, with the tumour surgery on top of this 💔

This is a massive amount for us as a charity and we’re reaching out to our loving supporters to help us give such a beautiful dog a chance at future where he can play without struggle.

No amount is too small, every donation makes a difference in giving Teddy the chance to thrive and we appreciate every penny. 🙏🏼

We are so grateful for all the support you give. Even just sharing Teddy’s story will help him towards his best life❕

📣 Team ADIN announcement 📣

Some of you may or may not be aware that we have had some recent changes at Team ADIN.

Occasionally, our team members take some time away from the day to day running of the rescue for their wellbeing. Something we encourage. It can be for personal reasons, work commitments and/or something referred to as compassion fatigue.

Our Chairperson, Caroline Porter made the decision to take some time out and step back towards the back end of 2024.

Caroline has been involved with ADIN for many years and was appointed as our Chairperson in June 2021. Caroline has been a huge contributor to improving and streamlining our procedures, increasing our social media engagement and ensuring jobs got done!

During her time away, Caroline experienced significant changes in her personal and working circumstances. These have contributed to her decision that, for now, her journey with Aireworth Dogs in Need has come to an end.

We cannot deny this has been a blow to our team. Caroline is a force to be reckoned with and she pushed and strived for us to become the incredible team we are. Caroline leaves enormous boots to fill.

We would like to thank Caroline for all her hard work, wish her all the best for the future and we hope she will not be a stranger.

The picture is of Caroline with her two dogs, Woody & Bubble, adopted from ADIN.

Max - 1 yr old Chihuahua x Poodle

Max came in with Jessie due a relationship breakdown. He was a very anxious boy - extremely vocal and hand shy. He spent much of his days in a crate and barely walked due to his vocal anxiety.

Within a couple of days in foster Max was a changed dog! He now enjoys his walks met loads of dogs, people and even horses! He can still be a little vocal on first meeting but soon settles.

Max is quite frankly an absolute joy ❤️.

🐕 great with other dogs
🐈‍⬛ cuddles up with his fosterer's cat
✅️ neutered
✅️ crate trained
✅️ walks well on the lead
✅️ good with children - but as long as they give him space
✅️ ok to be left for a few hours

People who have already been home checked have priority.

Please email [email protected] to express your interest.

🐾 Meet Luna – A Big Gentle Girl Searching for Her Forever Home 🐾

Luna is a 3-year-old Great Dane cross with a heart full of love and eyes that tell a story - her search for a place to truly belong. She has had several homes in her young life, but she’s still as affectionate and trusting as ever, just waiting for the right family to love her forever.

Why Luna is So Special:

❤️ Full of Love – She adores kisses, cuddles, and belly rubs.
🐶 Dog-Friendly – Currently in foster with another dog and loves to play, though she can be a bit boisterous.
👧 Great with Kids – Used to living with children and enjoys their company.
🐱 Cat-Friendly – Appears to be fine around cats.
🏡 Loyal Companion – Prefers not to be left alone for long but is comfortable in her crate for short periods. She needs a home with enough space for an extra large crate!
🍗 Food Lover! – Will counter surf/raid the cupboards if she is given the chance!!
🦮 Work in Progress – She gets excited meeting new people (expect full-body hugs!) and may pull toward other dogs (she just wants to be friendly!) but she is improving with training.

Luna needs a stable, loving home where she can finally settle and feel secure. If you look into her beautiful, soulful eyes, you’ll see a girl who just wants to be loved. Could you be the one to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for?

📩 If you’re interested in adopting Luna, please email us at [email protected].

🐾 Please share to help Luna find her happy ending! 🏡❤️

🐾Bailey - on Supported Adoption Period🐾

Bailey is a Bichon X, 8 years old and a lovely character.

He was brought into foster with another dog from the same home, Ruby, when their owner sadly passed away. After some time to assess them, we now think they would thrive in separate homes 🧡

🐾 He is slightly overweight, likely due to being spoiled with treats.

🏃‍♂️ He’s definitely not lazy! He enjoys his walks and is quite active, so he needs someone who will manage his diet and take him on good walks.

🩺 Skin Condition: He has a skin condition, which we've been told is common in white dogs. It’s currently being treated with steroids, and we’re already seeing improvement.

🐕 He walks well on the lead.

🐕 Dog-Friendly: So far, he has been good with other dogs he has met on walks.

🏡 He is house-trained.

🐱 He has lived with a cat before.

🚗 He is good in the car.

🥎Now that he has settled into his foster home, he has started to play.

💖 Loving and Affectionate: He is very friendly and loves attention.

If you would like to adopt Bailey please email [email protected]

🐾Ruby - Available to Adopt 🐾

Ruby is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier x Chihuahua

She was brought into foster with another dog from the same home, Bailey, when their owner sadly passed away. After some time to assess them, we now think they would thrive in separate homes 🧡

🐶 She is tiny but makes up for her size by being incredibly cute.

🐾 She was very nervous at first, which is not surprising. She gets upset when initially on her own but settles down once she realizes she’s safe.

🦴 She has a wonky back leg which she hardly notices and doesn't appear to bother her. However, just in case, we have arranged for her to have some x-rays at the same time as when she goes into be spayed.

🚶‍♀️ She enjoys her walks but, being so tiny, can’t go too far—luckily, she’s small enough to be carried!

🌿 Garden Needed: Ideally, she needs access to a garden as she appears to have a weak bladder.

🤗 Cuddle Bug: She adores cuddles—everyone wants to pick her up! She also loves to play once she gets to know and trust you.

🚗 She’s good in the car.

🐾 She gets excited on the lead but is easy to manage.

🐱 She has lived with a cat.

🐕 She has lived with another dog.

If you are interested in adopting Ruby please email [email protected]

Have you ever thought about fostering a dog in need?

🏠Fostering a dog isn't just about providing food and shelter. It's about offering a special dog a second chance. Sometimes that's a chance to heal, to trust, or to feel what it’s like to be loved.

🐕The dogs waiting for foster homes come in all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Some are energetic and playful, others quiet and shy. But what they all have in common is their desperate need for someone to care.

We are in urgent need of more foster homes. Without the foster placements available we simply cannot rescue any more dogs. Right now it feels like we're at a standstill, with so many dogs waiting for our help, but they have literally nowhere to go 😔

You can find out more about fostering on our website - https://www.aireworthdogsinneed.co.uk/fostering/

We introduced you to Max & Jessie, the Chihuahuas x Poodles last week. Well, Jessie's foster family had fallen in love with her. So we are very pleased to announce that Jessie has now officially been adopted.

Jessie persevered and won Teddy round and he now looks out for his little sister on walks!

With regular routine and exercise Jessie nailed the house training within days and from too scared to go on walks - now loves them! Though she does like to be carried when it's too cold 🥶.

Thank you to Mike, Gereana, Jacob, Martha, Charlie and lastly, but no means least, Teddy for opening your hearts and home to little Jessica 🩷.

🐾🧡Lexi - Now on Supported Adoption Period🧡🐾

7 year old Chihuahua x French bulldog

Say hello to this little cutie and you are immediately a friend 🥰. A few minutes into meeting her she'd let us tickle her tummy, check her teeth, her ears and her paws and all she did was wag her tail.

Her life is in a bit of upheaval at the moment as her mum of almost seven years has had to give her up, so quite rightly Lexi looks a little nervous.
However spend a few minutes giving her some TLC and she quickly become your best friend!!

🐾She is friendly with everyone and everything.
🐾Good in cars and on the bus.
🐾Fully house trained and currently living with a cat with no issues.
🐾She does look a little bit underweight at the moment but we have been told she has always had an athletic look with no reported health problems.
🐾She will sneak under the quilt if you are not watching.
🧡Ideal companion and best friend!

Please send us an email to [email protected] if you are interested in adopting Lexi

✨We're excited to now properly introduce Mercy, an 18 month old husky! Available to foster/adopt ✨

Wow, dogs are amazing! Given the way they are treated at times and how they respond with love and forgiveness.

🐾We rescued Mercy a few days ago who through no fault of her own, was living in a makeshift kennel in filthy conditions. Her young owner did not have the resources or skills to look after her properly. On top of this he and his family were evicted and the emergency accommodation refused pets.

✅We took her into emergency kennels and within 2 days received glowing reports about her behaviour.
" She's superb, non reactive to other dogs, polite with meets, good on a lead, polite with treats, clean in her kennel."

🩺So this week she is having her vaccinations and being groomed.

🐾🐾In the meantime we need to find her a forever home.🐾🐾

🧡Are you able to show her the life she deserves? She is still young but we don't think she will get much bigger. Huskies are well known for needing exercise and careful training but Mercy is not showing those traits at the moment being very calm and relaxed in kennels.

🧡As Mercy is currently in a placement some distance away, it would be ideal if we could find her a foster home within our catchment area. You could foster her with a view to adopting.

Please send us an email to [email protected] if you're interested in Mercy.
