We are hiring

We require an extra pair of hands to help cover the holidays and busy periods.

We require some that is;
Over 18
Has their own transport
Is willing to work some split shifts
Is confident speaking to customers
Is friendly and Enthusiastic
Loves animals and unfazed by various breeds, sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats
Unfazed by working outdoors in all weathers
Happy to work individually and as part of a team

This job would be ideal for a Uni student home for the holidays or someone who’s happy for a few hours work when we need extra help. The hours will include weekends.

The job involves;
Feeding and excising the dogs
Feeding and cleaning out the cats
Cleaning out kennels/ cat pens to a high standard
Dealing with our customers both in person and taking bookings over the phone

Playtime. ❤️
We chose are groups carefully, taking into account breed, age and size of dogs. Our groups are generally 3/4 dogs which we feel is a sensible amount to manage and enables us to interact with all of them and make playtime fun. They are on holiday too so we want them to have a great time

We’ve had some lovely updates today from some recently adopted cats and kitten, who’ve all settled in beautifully.
We currently have 7 cats in that all needs new homes. They all have their own personalities and are all really friendly, playful, love a fuss and would love a new human to take care of them. Please check out RSPCA Westmorland branch fb page to find out more.

Just a little update on the tiny kitten.
He’s living his best life with his bigger adopted siblings, he’s grown so much and is moving around a lot! What a lucky little boy ❤️

Blackie says thank you for all the shares, finally after 163 days with us, he’s finally been adopted and gone to a lovely new home today. ❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️🎉

Polly, one of our RSPCA cats, arrived a few weeks ago with her 3 little kittens. She’s doing an amazing job raising them.
Yesterday we got a call from the vets to say they had a tiny newborn kitten with no mum.
Alice went and collected it and Polly took to it straight away and let it feed from her, once she’d filled its tummy she gave it a good wash. Her kittens snuggle up with it and have acepted him into the group. Very heartwarming to see. ❤️❤️❤️

*Justin has now found his new home!* Unfortunately due to time wasters Justin is still looking for his new forever home. Justin needs to be an indoor cat as he lacks any homing skills/internal sat nav 😆 He can be shy at first but once he knows you he just wants all the love, fuss and food he can get his paws on! He has been here for three months now without a single viewing so please share to help Justin find his forever home. BOB & BILLY - NOW ADOPTED ❤️ These lovely lads are still looking for a new home. They have been here for over 3 months now and haven’t had a single viewing. They are both very friendly once they know you and love their food! They have spent Christmas here and seen many other cats come and go while they have been here. They are around 18months old and up to date with all flea and worm treatment as well has being fully vaccinated. NOW RESERVED! Marcus and Morag are still looking for their new home 🏡 They have been in a cattery for 6 MONTHS now and would love to find their new home soon! In the 8 weeks they have been with us they have been the most loving and affectionate cats to look after. They are always pleased to see us and wanting all the cuddles we have time to give!
