We are a fully-insured, DBS checked business and we are canine first aid certified. Who will be walking/ caring for my dog or looking after my pets?

I’m Rachael, from Warwick originally and now based in Kenilworth - which I love as there are so many great walks to go on here. I’ve always loved dogs in particular and my happy place is being outside in nature walking my dog! Why dog walking? It combines my love of being outside in nature, being active and of course, dog walking! As well as dog walking/ sitting we also offer pet sitting in genera

After 2 years, R&L is closing at the end of May. It’s been an incredible adventure and I wouldn’t change a thing. Exciting new business ventures have opened up, and I’ve made the (difficult) decision to close R&L to focus on these projects. It’s the best thing for me and my family. Thank you for all the support over the last 2 years! 🐾🐾

My last day of walking this fella, Nutkin the flat-coated retriever. Nutkin was one of my first client doggies and he’s been wonderful! He’s an older gentleman at 12 years old now, bless him. I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce my dog walking hours slightly due to other commitments, luckily has taken on Nutkin so I know he’ll be in very good hands! 😍

Without doubt the wettest and muddiest week there’s been for a while! But it’s all part of the fun, and despite spending most of the week looking like a drowned rat and wading through mud, being out with the doggies is still my happy place 🥰

Remi is a rescue dog from Romania who I’ve been walking since she was just a little pup. She’s now a very big dog but very gentle and sweet 🥰

And the Star Dog Award goes to…Barlow the cockapoo!!! 🥇⭐️🎉

I’ve been walking Barlow regularly for many months now and he’s doing so well which is why he’s got the award. He absolutely loves going out on walks, exploring and sniffing everything. His recall is wonderful and he’s also incredibly neutral around dogs we see out on walks the vast majority of the time. Well done Barlow! 🤩

It’s not every day you’re lucky enough to go to Lapland, meet reindeer and huskies and go on a snowmobile….so thought I’d share some photos of our trip! It was magical 🥰🦌❄️

And it got down to minus 33 (!!!) which is why only my eyes are exposed in most pics 🤣

Meet Buddy the Goldendoodle whose recently joined the R&L gang. He’s a gorgeous, friendly and well-mannered pooch and such a wonderful addition to the gang. I’m excited for all the adventures ahead! A great start to 2023!

It’s my last day of business for 2022 so I’m taking a moment to reflect on the last year and all the wonderful memories. It’s a joy and a privilege to get to spend my days in nature looking after and having fun with amazing doggies ☺️ hand on heart I love what I do 95% of the time. At the centre of my business is the welfare, well-being and happiness of the dogs in my care - they are always my priority, and seeing them happy makes me super happy.

It doesn’t stop when I get home either as then I’m looking after my now 2 amazing fur babies, Lexi the border collie and Oscar the jug (pug/ Jack Russell).

Thank you to all my lovely clients, family and friends who support me - I couldn’t do this without you!!!

See you in 2023, excited to see what the next year brings! 🤩

Another fantastic week of dog walks, it’s been absolutely freezing (well, below freezing!!!) but I’ve had my thermals on and the sun has been shining so it’s been all good!!! The doggies have had a blast playing in the frost (no snow here!) ❄️

I’m closing today for the holidays, so I’ll be back in January!

Reminder to my lovely clients - Christmas break closure dates this year: we close on 16th December and re-open on 9th January. This year we’re closed a little longer than usual as me and Seb are off to Lapland in January!!! 😍 Husky sleigh ride, Reindeer village, snowmobile ride, snow trekking and hopefully seeing the Northern Lights! 🤩

There are days when running a dog walking business as my profession is an absolute joy (most days to be honest) and there are days when it’s a bit more challenging to get myself outside. Today was one of those days…Monday morning, the grey skies, the clouds, the rain, the mud, the cold.

But even despite that, walking around in the rain I was still happy because the doggies were having fun and that always makes me smile. Mostly they don’t care about the weather, they just want to get outside, explore, play and have a good run around.

Still, I won’t lie, it’s nice to be back home, warm and dry now!!!! I’ve got a cup of tea, Oscar the Jug is asleep on my lap and I’m happy 🥰

Hoping for some drier weather 🙏

Celebrating 18 months of my business!!!

It all started when we got little Lexi our border collie…a dream to spend my days with dogs was born and quickly became reality. Over the last 18 months the business has steadily grown and I’ve had the privilege of walking and caring for many amazing doggies.

I’m so grateful for all my lovely clients that make this possible. And of course for my friends and family who have helped and supported me so much 😍

Bert the St Bernard - loose lead

So proud of Bert! Bert the St Bernard loves going on walks, and especially loves running around open fields. At the beginning/ end of his walks he is on the lead and to start with he would pull a lot (and he is very strong!!!). Today he walked on the lead beautifully and I was SO proud 🥰 #stbernard #dogwalking #looseleadwalking #dogwalkingbusiness

Loose lead walking

Lovely loose lead on my walk with Nutkin the Flat-coated Retriever today. At the beginning of our journey together Nutkin pulled on the lead non-stop (and despite being older he was very energetic) and after a few sessions together he’s now walking nicely consistently 🤩 a nice calm pace and a loose lead makes for a very pleasant walk.
