🐶 Meet Rupert! 🐾

This beautiful Cocker Spaniel is visiting Snowy’s Canine Therapy Centre to help manage his hip dysplasia – a common condition that can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.

To keep Rupert comfortable and active, we’ve tailored a plan including:

💦 Hydrotherapy – Low-impact exercise to strengthen muscles, improve joint flexibility, and relieve pressure on his hips.
💆‍♂️ Myotherapy – Targeted massage and muscle work to reduce tension, improve circulation, and support weakened areas.
🔆 Laser Therapy – A pain-free treatment that reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and eases discomfort in affected joints.

With these therapies combined, Rupert is already feeling the benefits, and we’re excited to see his progress! 💙

If your pup struggles with mobility or joint issues, get in touch – we’re here to help them live their best life. 🐾✨

Say hello to Hattie, the gorgeous Jack Russell Terrier, who has just started her hydrotherapy journey in the Underwater Treadmill following left cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) repair! 💙

Before beginning hydrotherapy, Hattie had several physiotherapy sessions with Gabby, which helped to:
✅ Reduce pain and swelling
✅ Improve joint mobility and flexibility
✅ Activate and strengthen key muscles
✅ Ensure she was ready to move safely in the water

Physiotherapy before hydrotherapy is incredibly beneficial, as it helps dogs regain initial movement and control on land before introducing the additional support and resistance of water. This ensures they get the most out of their treadmill sessions!

The Underwater Treadmill now allows Hattie to exercise in a controlled, low-impact way, helping her:
✅ Strengthen muscles safely without excessive strain
✅ Encourage correct limb movement to prevent compensation
✅ Improve circulation & reduce swelling to support healing

She’s already making fantastic progress, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow stronger with every step! 🐾✨

🐾 Say hello to these fabulous Flat-Coats! 🐾

Geoff, the 8-month-old Flat-Coated Retriever, joined us today for his very first Learn to Swim session! 🌊🐶 This handsome boy is starting early, as he’s on track to become a working Gundog – and he absolutely loved his initial session! 👏💦

While Geoff was building his confidence in the pool, his big brother Monty was also in for a Physiotherapy check-up with one of our expert Veterinary Physiotherapists. Monty has lumbosacral disease, a condition affecting the lower spine where the lumbar vertebrae meet the sacrum. It can cause pain, stiffness, and weakness in the hind legs, but physiotherapy plays a key role in managing his mobility, reducing discomfort, and keeping him active. 💙🐕

A productive day for these two beautiful boys—something tells us they’ll both be sleeping very well tonight! 😴

We have been proud to put two young people through the KEITS Apprenticeship

It's THURSDAY here at National Apprenticeship Week, and today let's hear from a KEITS EMPLOYER and a KEITS apprentice.

Snowy's Canine Therapy Centre have been supporting apprentices in their centre and we spoke to Jackie the owner:

"As an employer, our experience with KEITS and their team has been incredibly rewarding. It has brought fresh enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to our apprentices that have worked through the KEITS scheme, while allowing us to nurture and develop their talent tailored to our business needs.

The structured training has ensured a solid foundation of skills, which complements on-the-job experience.

To anyone considering hiring an apprentice, I would wholeheartedly recommend it – it's an investment in the future of both your business and the individual.

For those thinking about applying, it’s an unparalleled opportunity to earn, learn, and grow in a supportive environment."

We also spoke to Jackie's current apprentice, Evie. Find out what she said here: www.KEITS.co.uk/thursday

🐾 Highlighting Our Canine Therapies: Exploring the Underwater Treadmill! 🐾

This week, we’re continuing to showcase the therapies we have to offer to help your dogs lead healthier, happier lives. Today, we’re diving into the benefits of our underwater treadmill—an innovative therapy designed to deliver exceptional results for your pets.

The design of our underwater treadmill includes:
💦 Extended Length: Our treadmill offers extra space, allowing dogs to move naturally and engage their full range of motion for optimal therapy outcomes.
💦 Adjustable Water Levels: Customised to your dog’s size and rehabilitation goals, the water can be raised or lowered to control buoyancy and reduce pressure on joints.
💦 Temperature-Controlled Water: Warm water therapy soothes stiff joints, reduces inflammation, and enhances muscle relaxation during each session.
💦 Clear Sides for Visibility: Allows the therapists a 360° view to monitor movement patterns and posture, ensuring every step is effective and controlled.
💦 Expert Supervision: With our large team, we are able to provide at least three qualified therapists for treadmill sessions for pets that may need additional hands-on!

Why the underwater treadmill is so effective:
🐾 The controlled environment helps to re-educate gait by reducing the weight placed on healing limbs.
🐾 The buoyancy of water encourages a greater range of movement than on land, helping improve flexibility and mobility.
🐾 Resistance from the water helps build muscles while protecting joints from excessive strain, ideal for injury recovery or muscle atrophy.
🐾 Perfect for overweight dogs, as the water supports body weight, reducing stress on joints while allowing for a safe calorie-burning exercise.

Every session is tailored to your dog’s specific needs and abilities, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported every step of the way!

📞 Ready to see the benefits for yourself? Book an underwater treadmill session for your pet today!

Here’s what makes our pool stand out:

💦 Spacious Design: Our large pool gives dogs plenty of room to move freely, helping them build strength, improve flexibility, and gain confidence in a safe, controlled environment.
💦 Wide, Concrete Ramp: Easy access for dogs of all sizes and abilities, ensuring even pups with mobility issues feel secure.
💦 Resting Pod: A designated corner for dogs to take a break and recover during their sessions.
