Grass Seed Season is now upon us! 🌾

In these slides are some of the grass seeds our vets have had to remove from a paw, an ear & even a face from some of our four legged friends!

Please remember to do a head to toe check on your pets when coming in from a walk, and during this season ensure fur is kept short, including on their paws.

Your pet is more at risk of picking up grass seeds if your regular walks are through long grass, so we advise to avoid walking these routes every day.

These small steps can make sure your pet doesn’t need a trip to the vets & even possibly a small surgical procedure to remove them !🩹

Pet Anxiety Awareness Month 🙀

This month is pet anxiety awareness month, however pets suffer with anxiety all year round. Whether this is due to travelling, going to the vets, meeting new people, fear of loud noises…the list goes on!

It’s important to raise awareness of this problem in pets, so that owners can be aware of the signs and find out there is something that they can do to help their pet!

Either taking them to a qualified behaviourist or trainer, making small changes at home or helping them with a supporting product.

If you think your pet may be suffering with anxiety, give us a call to book in to chat to one of our vets, you aren’t alone! ☺️

Pet Dental Health Month! 🦷🪥

Pets can't express their discomfort verbally, this makes it challenging to identify dental problems. Common signs of dental issues in pets include bad breath, difficulty chewing, excessive drooling, pawing at the mouth, and changes in eating habits.

Studies have shown the MOST effective way to prevent dental disease is brushing your pets teeth a minimum of three times a week!

Research also suggests a strong connection between oral health and systemic health in animals. Dental problems can contribute to conditions such as heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.

If any you notice any of these symptoms in your pet please give us a call to book an appointment to see one of our vets! 😊
