Dog Days Inn was formed to cater for dog owners in and the Kettering and Market Harborough area who would prefer their dogs to have fun with other dogs when they cannot be with them. We hold a 5 star Animal Boarding Licence with North Northants Council for the Doggie Day Care Centre in Little Addington. We have full Public Liability Insurance, and an Animal Aiders Dog First Aid Certificate. I (Gai

l) have had dogs in her life since I was a toddler, and have also fostered, along with my husband, Phil, for Central Animal Rescue in Leicester back in the early 90's. We failed twice at the fostering (!) and Casey and Lenny were fabulous family dogs when our sons were growing up. When we started the business, our family dogs were Charlie & Henry, both Rotti crosses, and both rescued. However, we now have two beautiful girls, and one gorgeous boy in the family! We adopted Betsy in 2019, who again, is a Rotti cross, and then along came Penny in 2020. Also a rescue, but she is a full, if diminutive, Rotti. We're not sure how this happened, but we adopted Noah the Lurcher in 2021! We weren't looking for a third dog, but were unable to resist his black 'n' tan cuteness! We are a family run business, Phil & I run it with our youngest son Miles, and our eldest son Ash helps when needed. Our aim is to provide a fun but secure environment for your dogs, and to look after them in the manner they are accustomed to at home! The DDI Day Care Centre is located in Little Addington, Northants, and any dogs from Market Harborough, Desborough or Rothwell will be taken there every day to join in the fun. We have a large van, fully kitted out with custom made cages, so your dog will be safely transported in Cruella and/or Ivanna d'Van from our house to the Centre. We are licensed for 32 dogs. 🐶 Our DDI Yard Improvment Journey! 🐶

Our journey started on July 8th when Mick & Jay from MP Services ripped up the revolting astroturf that was laid back in 2014!! 🤢 (The first 3 photos show just how tired and grim the space had become.)
Unfortunately, they did not find the compacted hard core we were all expecting, but concrete! 😳 We think they were the bases of the buildings that were here when Hill Farm was an Italian Prisoner of war camp in WW2... 😮
So, suddenly the job was much bigger, and all we could do was fence it off and 'make do' until it was done!! We also took advantage of the time by making a few design changes, to help with the drainage - something we couldn't have done if the job had gone as planned. We had also realised we did not have enough spare astro turf (we'd originally naively thought we might be able to save the old stuff! 🙄😂), so the hunt on fb marketplace began!
Unfortunately, Mick & Jay had other job commitments, so we had to sit tight for a few weeks, but they returned last week and yesterday you saw the fantastic results of all their hard work!! 😁
So, firstly, a HUGE thank you to Mick & Jay... and an apology for the job not being what was advertised!! 😬 We are thrilled to bits with the results, and, as you witnessed yesterday, the dogs absolutely LOVE it! 😍 Thank you for humouring us with all our design changes - not everyone would have been so accomodating. (Mick's van is in some of the photos if anyone needs his number! 😉).
Another HUGE thank you to Dan at Unit Fitness for firstly selling us the astroturf, and then storing it when we couldn't, for one reason or another, collect it all at once. It is very much appreciated. 😊

It's been hard at times with the reduced space, and some dogs didn't like it at all, but it has DEFINITELY been worth the wait!

Here's to many more years of canine capers at Unit 3/4! 🐶🍾
