Some of you will know the gorgeous Pam Hutchison as I always recommend her incredible training to you all.

I would like to share a very sad update about her beloved Koady, who will pass over rainbow bridge this week.

Koady is such a gentle soul and I know he will be missed and will leave paw prints on all our hearts ♥️

Sleep tight big fella, there will never be another like you 😔🐾🌈

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I need to share with you the very sad news that our Koady's mobility and quality of life has diminished within the last few days dramatically and we have made the decision to say goodbye and allow him to be free 😢💔

Our vet is going to come to our home tomorrow at 1.30 pm, so that Koady doesn't have the discomfort and fear of leaving the house. I know that so many of you adored my sweet natured boy and that so many of you will be grieving his loss with myself and Paul ❤️🐾

I will keep you all updated and let you know when he is finally at peace as I know so many of you will be thinking of him 🐾

I have many new puppies starting with me over the coming weekend, but I will be postponing everything and giving myself some time, I am sure you will understand

Please hold him in your thoughts for one last peaceful evening before he leaves us 💔

Did you know...

Fake snow on Christmas trees can be toxic to pets and can trigger allergies in humans:

Pets: Fake snow, also known as flocking, can be mildly toxic to pets if ingested.

It can cause:
Intestinal blockages
Excess drooling
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Seizures
Unusual behavior

If your pet eats a lot of fake snow or shows signs of illness, contact your vet.

Humans: Inhaling particles from fake snow can trigger asthma attacks.

Safety tips: To keep pets safe, you can:
Avoid artificial trees with fake snow and stick to ones with bare branches

Avoid edible decorations like popcorn or candy canes

Fake snow is made by applying a mixture of cellulose fibers and white adhesive to the branches of a real tree.

I have just been sent a picture of it trying to snow in Corby by my husband.

Please take extra care if you are travelling to us today for Daycare, as you know snow often comes with ice and in our small villages those ice patches could be disguised with piles of leaves.

I am getting organised!! Don't expect it to continue!! 🤣🤣🤣

This year is the first in 15 years that we will have no dogs staying on Christmas Day, Santa Paws won't be making a visit to us this year.

This means we are able to enjoy a different kind of Christmas with our families and I shall also be taking a few extra days off to recover from 2024 before I throw myself back into things in the new year.

We will have a few doggies staying over New Year.

Please note that 30th/31st December I shall only be offering walks and boarding and the odd visit where needed.

I politely request that all bookings up to and including 24th December are in the system ASAP (before 10th December) to avoid disappointment.

Also, please book your walks, visits and daycare for the New Year as soon as you are able. This year I want to close the diary and get all invoices sent on or around the 17th December so I can have some proper time off for the festive period.

If you are booking adhoc services, payment is required at the time of booking, not after services are due to start.

Boarding bookings are ONLY secured with a deposit, failure to pay deposit will result in your booking being removed from our diary.

Another great run at Rushton Meadows with P, E and Ted!

It was so good to do this before it got dark and we went home for hot chocolate and stew.
