This is just a brilliant example of Farm vets making a real difference. A huge shout out to Brownlow and Park Issa Farm Vets for dropping everything and attending this emergency. These are very difficult situations, working with the emergency services and the farmers, in a very public environment. Great work and great outcome.

A team of vets have been hailed heroes after their quick actions saved the lives of dozens of cattle from an overturned lorry.

Farm Vets Congress starts tomorrow. Two days for clinical and business development plus building those really important networks across the group.

100 vets, vet techs, foot trimmers, and Practice teams are heading to the centre of Bristol, with talks from James Russell on Animal Health and welfare Pathway, from our foot care teams in Carmarthenshire on the benefits of working together and from Amy Jackson on how to communicate bettter and find common ground, plus all the usual pub quiz and laughs you’d expect from TeamFarm.

Special thank you to Norbrook Laboratories GB and Ceva Animal Health UK - This wouldn’t be possible without your support 👏🏻👏🏻

Here at IVC Evidensia Farm Vets, we love cows, so we are running on farm training courses for our vets and vet techs on Stress-free Handling and Cow Flow, to reduce stress and save time for everyone. Looking at how cow flow affects everything from lameness to staff morale, and how small improvements to the design of the facilities can have big impacts.

Happy cows, happy farmers, happy vets

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) has been declared across Great Britain effective from 5pm on 3 November 2021. The AIPZ means all bird keepers in Great Britain (whether they have pet birds, commercial flocks or just a few birds in a backyard flock) are required by law to take a range of biosecurity precautions.

This is not a mandatory housing order, but the situation may change.

IVC Evidensia Welcomes VetStrategy To The Group

IVC Evidensia, Europe’s leading veterinary care provider, today announced its plan to merge with VetStrategy, the leading Canadian veterinary care provider. The combined business will be one of the largest veterinary care groups in the world, with almost 30,000 employees and 2,000 clinics and hospitals across 17 countries.

The combination will further expand the two companies’ shared purpose of delivering the highest quality pet care, bringing new standards to staff well-being and broadening digitalisation and innovation capabilities within the sector.

VetStrategy, including Groupe Vétérinaire Daubigny, operates more than 270 hospitals across nine Canadian provinces. Like IVC Evidensia, VetStrategy employs a “heritage-first” model promoting clinical independence and services innovation.
