We have availability for some new furry faces to join our pack!

Our Solo Dog Walking Service is designed for pet owners who want personalised attention and exercise for their dogs.

• One-on-one undivided attention, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
• No distractions or interactions with other dogs/obstacles if your dog is reactive, nervous/shy, or not dog social! They can still have FUN with us!
• Training can be recuperated/reinforced on walks if your dog is already being trained by a trainer.
• Tailored walking routes depending on your dogs fitness, energy and interests.
• Our walkers are trained and experienced in handling various breeds and temperaments.
• Canine First-Aid Trained to ensure your dog's safety at all times.
• Regular updates and reports on your dog’s activities and well-being during the walk.
• Attention to detail. Walking your dog on their own means that we observe their health and notice any changes.
• Overall beneficial for your dog's health.
• Owners can feel confident that their dog is in safe, capable hands, receiving the best care possible.

(FRIENDLY ADVICE; Since fireworks usually go off on NYE, please ensure your fur children have a safe place to go to whether that is their crate, a cosy or quiet and dark space with blankets/comforting items. Keep your curtains drawn. Providing enrichment such as kongs or licking mats and playing with them is also a great way to keep them distracted. Please remember to play music or turn up your television which will be a good distraction for any loud bangs in the area. If you are celebrating NYE, please be safe and think of your furry friends)

What an amazing time the family boys Pixel (JRT) and Wolfie (husky cross) had at Perry Dog Field today with all of us. It was their first time ever at a hire field, and they experienced being off lead for the first time too! 50 minutes of adventuring! 😍

I can highly recommend their field!

Wolfie loves to dig so he enjoyed the sandpit and had zoomies in it. They sniffed, scent marked frequently (lol), played fetch and although agility isn't their specialty, we managed to encourage them to go through the tunnels!

This was a Christmas gift to the pooches from myself and I can't wait to visit the fields again soon. It was muddy in places, but totally worth it!

Perry Dog Field is very easy to access and is well sign posted. Thankfully, it is only a 5-10 min drive from our home. They have benches so you can have a sit down with your dog should you tire out quickly (Wolfie did, as did I) and they had plenty of activities available. It is very secure with fences and gates. What a wonderful day overall! 🐾🎁💙

...And that's a wrap!

We are hanging up our leads until 2025, and no, we will NOT be working on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, NYE or NYD! We deserve a break too!

We will be closed from the 20th December (today) until the 2nd January 2025.

I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of my clients, whether you're temporary, adhoc or regular, I couldn't do it without your endless support whether that be word of mouth or booking with us (and your payments have helped too 🤣😉🤗)

THANK YOU to the kiddi dog walking crew for listening to endless rants about traffic in town, networking with me/passing on business, and for just being supportive, you know who you are! 🥰

THANK YOU for all of the snacks and drinks that have kept me going that my clients have kindly left out for me! 🍫

THANK YOU for my presents this year, I never expect anything and I feel incredibly appreciated and respected 💌.

THANK YOU for entrusting me with your furbabies that I love as if they are my own, and for offering a cuppa tea if you're unexpectedly home (and if I have the time!) ☕

It has been an eventful year of business, but who said self employment was easy!? It isn't for the faint hearted. There have been so many highs and lows, but we are still fighting (quite literally since Auntie Merry took on kickboxing last September). 🥊

I was supposed to have a holiday back in April for my birthday as a treat, but with passport issues, that didn't happen so I ended up having a drink at the airport (thank you to a client for the birthday gift 😘)... maybe next year I'll get a well deserved break 🤣😩✈

We have battled all unpredictable weather climates, storms and wind, snow, rain, heatwaves, you name it, we've been out in it! 😂

We said goodbye to our first ever client Evie a few months ago 🌈 as well as Jack earlier in the year 🌈. May the rainbow babies rest in peace, Auntie Merry misses you dearly 😇😭

We hired lovely Emily Stanley back in the early Autumn to care for some of your fur babies on Wednesdays, she has done an amazing job even with some health battles! Love you Auntie Em, the dogs and other furry animals love you too, especially because you give out treats! 😋🐾

We have taken on 6 new dogs this year (it may not sound like a lot, but to us it is being SOLO walkers) and this is excluding the temporary clients/one-offs! Hopefully we can take on many new faces in 2025!

On the damp, dark and cold trying days, battling mental and physical health, I've contemplated giving up, but I haven't. I am super excited to see what 2025 will bring to Tails On Trails. Keep your eyes open, and keep an eye on your emails as well for some updates coming very soon.

And lastly, a HUGE THANK YOU to my close family and friends, and my amazing other half for keeping me strong when the going gets tough 💪🏻
