June's pet of the month winner is Sally, who has walks with the our Bridgend branch ran by the lovely Emma! 🐶

Sally has been having walks with Bridgend since April 2023. Her owner had another walker previous who left them in the Lurch. But luckily, Bridgend was on hand to take over!

Laura, one of Emma's walkers and pet sitters has said - ’I'd love to vote for Sally, she used to be so shy on walks but now she strides ahead and enjoys meeting the other dogs.🐕

Emma has also added - 'Sally never used to go to the toilet on walks, now she is. She would have to be picked up to go into the car, now she jumps in herself. Many things she's grown more confidence with because we've been calm with her, taken our time introducing dogs suitable to her and working with her owner to make sure she gets the best care.'

Congratulations Sally! Well deserved win. 🤩🐾

Our pet of the month winner for May is... 🥁

The lovely Basil who has walks with Elkie, owner of the Portsmouth branch.

They have been looking after Basil since he was four month old. He enjoys his walks with the branch and loves nothing more than a ball and swimming! 🏊‍♀️

He has been doing a lot of training and has recently qualified as an autism therapy dog! He goes to work a couple of days a week with his mum and they have the pleasure of looking after him the rest of the week.

Seasonal allergies in dogs usually present as skin related symptoms but they can get sneezes and watery eyes just like us!

Ernie is a 1.5 year old and has had walks with Karen and her team since last July.

Karen has said - 'he is always a happy Chappy and he just loves being out. He doesn't know his size so can give a good pull when he sees pups he wants to play with - but a real gentle giant. He gives lovely bear hugs and kisses. 🐶

Our first winner of Pet of the Month for 2024 is the very cute Sybil, who boards with our We Love Pets Canterbury branch. 🎉

1 year old Sybil and her 'sister' Jeanie are well known in Herne Bay and across Instagram, being the doggies of the wonderful photographer Lizz Gregg. Her wonderful photography is currently starring in an exhibition on Herne Bay seafront.

The branch boarded Sybil and Jeanie for a weekend back in November. Sybil is a fun and loving boarder collie who loves a walk along the seafront, a swim in the sea and playing with a ball. Both Sybil and her sister Jeanie are incredibility sociable and friendly dogs and they love being photographed!

Tigger is 11 and absolutely loves the outdoors and relaxing in the sun. He is a very chatty cat and loves to say hello to the We Love Pets staff.

We had an amazing day at the annual Happy Staffie Rescue Family Fun Day and Dog Show at Far Forest Show Ground on Saturday, and now it's time to announce the winner of our competition!

Our free to enter competition was to win a £50 voucher for use on any of our services with us We Love Pets Kidderminster, and a voucher kindly donated by our friends at Pets Corner Kidderminster for a bag of dry dog or cat food up to 3KG!
All you had to do was simply guess the number of dog treats in the jar! The person with the nearest guess to the correct answer wins - simple aye?

Well we can now reveal that the correct answer was 130 treats in the jar, and the person with the closest guess of 136 treats was, Sue Harris! Congratulations Sue, we will be in touch with your prize!

It was wonderful to speak to so many amazing people at the show about their pets and their care requirements, and of course, meet and cuddle so many wonderful dogs and puppies! All those waggy tails and sloppy kisses are just the best, and we can't wait to do it all again next year!

We're so excited to be heading to the Happy Staffie Rescue Day & Dog Show this Sunday at the Far Forest Showground!

As well as Dog Fun Classes, including Cutest Pup, Fancy Dress, and Waggiest Tail, there will be live music, bouncy castles, food and drink, and loads of other local businesses all there to support this amazing local charity.

We can't wait to see everyone, so come and say Hi with your dogs - there will be plenty of fuss and treats at our stand!
