Since I’m not in the salon today, I thought we’d do a Christmas Throwback! Jessica is in as normal, I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon. My best friend is getting married today 💚

What a difference six weeks makes. ✂️
Last visit, this lovely girl needed a shorter trim due to matting — her owners had to compromise to keep her comfortable. After a little brushing demo and some consistent effort at home, she’s come back tangle-free and ready for her beautiful Teddy trim. Swipe to see her autumn trim!

Our first working day of December is officially done — and it couldn’t have gone better! The salon is buzzing with festive feels, happy pups, and all the Christmas cuteness.

We’re a little late with this one (for a very good reason!), but here’s last week’s wrap-up. We were away over the weekend for a competition and some CPD — always learning, improving, and bringing back the best for your pups!

As the salon gets busier over the Christmas period, our availability to take photos reduced - remember the only way to guarantee your Christmas photo is to add on our Christmas spa package! A huge thank you to all our wonderful customers as always, for another lovely week. We appreciate every single one of you 💚

After an amazing weekend away at a grooming competition, we’re back — and currently buried in admin with a very full heart! It was truly amazing , big congratulations and thank yous to everyone involved in such an amazing weekend! And to all our wonderful customers- thank you for your patience while we’ve been away. We’ll be responding to all of our texts and social media messages today. All voicemails will be returned in the morning.

We’re closed this weekend while we head off for a big competition, gala & seminar weekend — time to recharge, learn, and level up our skills with some CPD magic!

We’ll be back on December 2nd feeling inspired, refreshed, and ready for the festive rush!

This means we also won’t be hosting our walk in nail clinic this weekend, back next weekend as normal.

Breed-standard beauty in the making! Today we worked on an English Cocker Spaniel in full show trim, and we’re always striving to perfect every detail of this groom.

It was his first full session with us, and he handled it like an absolute star 🤍🐶

Mabel’s second visit and this lovely girl absolutely smashed her bath today! She came in so much more confident than last time — relaxed, trusting, and taking the whole process in her stride. Watching dogs grow in confidence with regular grooming is one of the best parts of the job. Here’s to many more happy, stress-free bath days ahead!

What an incredible weekend at the International Grooming Conference 2025!
So many talented groomers, inspiring demos, and amazing products all under one roof — it’s impossible not to come away feeling motivated and full of ideas! An amazing weekend, as per , provided by (we’ve already got tickets for next year!)

At POOCH, we truly believe you never stop learning. Events like this remind us how important it is to invest in CPD, expand our skills, and stay up to date with the latest techniques and trends.

We can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by — Christmas is coming up fast, and we’ve only got 4 weeks left until we close for the holidays! Our last day is Saturday 20th December.

It’s been another lovely, busy week in the salon, filled with gorgeous pups and plenty of festive cheer.
