We’re closed this weekend while we head off for a big competition, gala & seminar weekend — time to recharge, learn, and level up our skills with some CPD magic!

We’ll be back on December 2nd feeling inspired, refreshed, and ready for the festive rush!

This means we also won’t be hosting our walk in nail clinic this weekend, back next weekend as normal.

Breed-standard beauty in the making! Today we worked on an English Cocker Spaniel in full show trim, and we’re always striving to perfect every detail of this groom.

It was his first full session with us, and he handled it like an absolute star 🤍🐶

Mabel’s second visit and this lovely girl absolutely smashed her bath today! She came in so much more confident than last time — relaxed, trusting, and taking the whole process in her stride. Watching dogs grow in confidence with regular grooming is one of the best parts of the job. Here’s to many more happy, stress-free bath days ahead!

What an incredible weekend at the International Grooming Conference 2025!
So many talented groomers, inspiring demos, and amazing products all under one roof — it’s impossible not to come away feeling motivated and full of ideas! An amazing weekend, as per , provided by (we’ve already got tickets for next year!)

At POOCH, we truly believe you never stop learning. Events like this remind us how important it is to invest in CPD, expand our skills, and stay up to date with the latest techniques and trends.

We can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by — Christmas is coming up fast, and we’ve only got 4 weeks left until we close for the holidays! Our last day is Saturday 20th December.

It’s been another lovely, busy week in the salon, filled with gorgeous pups and plenty of festive cheer. We can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by — Christmas is coming up fast, and we’ve only got 4 weeks left until we close for the holidays!

Another day, another spaniel 🫶

Transformation Time! This handsome show Cocker Spaniel had his very first hand strip at 18 months — and what a difference already! His owners know this is going to be a multi-step process, but they’re thrilled with the results so far… and so am I! Swipe to see before and after from multiple angles.

We’re keeping his adorable teddy-bear charm (because how could we not?!), but gradually removing some of that excess coat to bring out a more classic spaniel outline and make his at-home maintenance much easier.

Big cuddles and lots of praise for this sweet boy — can’t wait to see his coat develop as we continue the journey! He was just the sweetest and gave the best cuddles and kisses too, swipe to see 🥰

It’s amazing to see all my hard work paying off as I continue to hone my skills and specialise. I’m noticing books become more full with English Cocker Spaniels. Although Millie gets an non-traditional trim, she’s much more practical for her owners and is still absolutely adorable — I’m always love the chance to bring out each dog’s personality while keeping them looking their very best. 💚

🛁Wet Dog Wednesday🛁

Double the bubbles, double the cuteness! These sibling pups absolutely melted our hearts in their bath last time they came in — taking everything in their stride. Regular gentle baths help build confidence, keep coats healthy, and make grooming a positive experience right from the start. These two were brought to us from the get go, and it shows. They’re so relaxed for their pamper, and often stop by the salon door waiting to come in on their daily walks 🫶
