Last day of teaching here at hartlebury equestrian centre today 😢 such a shame to see it all closing down when it is such a thriving business and I am truly sorry to all my wonderful clients, liveries and staff who are having to find new options for their futures. Thank you so much for all your support- I have been blown away by the kind words and offers of help through this stressful time which really means the world to me ❤️ what a journey we have had and so many happy memories over the last 7 years so once again thank you and wishing everyone the best for the future xx Esther and tom xx

Day 2 was another brilliant day even if the weather was not so good this afternoon! Flatwork session focusing on lateral work this morning and then Esther and luke did a skinny jumping demo. This afternoon we then worked on accuracy and skinny jumping with some super riding! Well done everyone 🙌🦄👍

Adult camp 2020
Great first day - a morning of flatwork focusing on position and core stability of the rider and another brilliant demo from the fabulous Ryan Darbyshire and Tom Wait this time discussing the anatomy of the foot. This was followed by a lovely lunch at Tap House Hartlebury and then an afternoon of poles and jumping up the field in the sun ☀️ well ridden everyone ❤️🐴

Hartlebury equestrian centre camp 2020
Final day of camp was brilliant! After some very stormy weather and a few wet tents overnight we had a much cooler day for competition day! Dressage, show jumping and gymkhana today and a win for the troop this year! Well done to all the campers and a massive thank you to everyone involved for making it such a success. Such a shame it will be the last hartlebury camp as it really is a great week for everyone but I feel truly blessed for all the support over the years ❤️🐴

Hartlebury pony camp 2020
First two days have been fabulous at pony camp this year - flatwork/dressage practice, jumping up the field, skinny demo, hack to hartlebury common, farrier demo from the wonderful Ryan Darbyshire/Tom Wait and skinny practise this afternoon. Not forgetting rounders and games and bbq on the evenings! Competition day tomorrow! 🐴🐴

Hi everyone. It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce I have been given notice to terminate my lease at hartlebury equestrian centre😢 this means that lessons will cease from Thursday 4th September. I am absolutely gutted about this news as I’m sure so many of you will be too, having worked so hard over the last 7 years to build the business up into the success it is now! Can I take this opportunity to thank all of my clients, staff and liveries for their support over the years and for many happy memories. Many thanks Esther ❤️

Hartlebury equestrian centre is looking for someone to join our friendly, hard working team on a full time basis. To assist with teaching and working on the yard in our busy riding school and livery yard.

The ideal candidate should have experience with teaching (ideally Bhs stage 2 or above) and be happy to teach both adults and children. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, friendly and able to work both as a team and individually. As well as teaching we need someone who is happy to help with all yard duties - mucking out, feeding, grooming, tacking up, booking in clients and also handling big competition horses.

The position also includes training towards qualifications with regular riding tuition and help with stable management/ teaching.

We have had a very sad day at HEC today 😢 unfortunately our beloved donk passed away in the night 💔 we are all devastated as I know many of you guys will be at this shocking news. He was such a big character here and had many fans and will be sorely missed 💔💔 RIP donk 😘😘

Pony club - we will be starting the group riding lessons initially on a Tuesday at 4pm (just the riding no stable management). For the younger guys it will be starting from next week (Tuesday 9th June) and for the older group Tuesday 16th June. Still maintaining social distancing and other covid 19 regulations. ✅From Monday 1 June, in England only, riding schools will be able to offer group lessons and hacks for five people from separate households plus one coach. Coaches will also be able to teach groups of five riders at group clinics. Social distancing guidelines must be followed and the 2 metre distance maintained at all times. Covid 19 update

After recent guidelines from the British horse society we are planning to open for lessons from 19/05/20. However, there will be tight guidelines to follow as social distancing must be maintained at all times to follow government advice. These are:

- maintain social distance (2m) at all times with members of staff
- private lessons only (30 minutes or 45 minutes)
- where possible please attend on your own or with ONE other family member only
- to be able to ride you must be able to mount yourself and be able to adjust your own stirrups and girth (we can demonstrate and instruct you in what to do!) or if the accompanying adult is capable they can help. This means no beginners or very young children unfortunately.
- no one to come if they or their family members are showing symptoms
- please wear gloves to ride and whilst on the yard and we will disinfect tack after sessions
- no entry into tack room (please book in from outside)
- if you would like to pay by bank transfer we can give you details and this must be pre paid before arrival
- please don’t wander around the yard and respect other members of public safety and also my liveries who may be attending to their horses
- we will be sticking to flat work or pole work initially to reduce risks

Finally there will he changes to days and times we are open for lessons:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday- lessons between 2pm and 5pm
Friday- lessons between 11am and 1pm and then between 2pm and 5pm
Saturday- lessons between 9.30am and 5pm
Sunday and Monday- closed

These changes are all being closely monitored and may be altered as the situation changes but we will keep you updated.

As many of you know little Eric has been ‘free range’ the last few weeks - grazing round the yard and licking all the feed bowls clean! He is now happily on the summer paddocks but here are some pictures of him enjoying himself these last few weeks 🐴❤️

Coronavirus update

Unfortunately it is with a heavy heart I have made the decision to CLOSE the riding school today until further notice. In light of the current situation I need to protect my staff and myself so we can continue to look after the horses and also to help stop the spread of the virus further.

We will still be allowing liveries to come down but everyone MUST follow these rules:

- wash your hands thoroughly on arrival and departure
-keep at least 2 metres apart from each other and my staff
- only 1 person in the tack room at a time
-wear gloves whilst on the yard and riding
-DO NOT come to the yard if you are suffering from any of the symptoms, we will continue to care for your horse for you

🦠 Coronavirus update🦠

Following government guidelines we are still OPEN for lessons here at hartlebury equestrian centre. However if you have any of the symptoms of the virus please could you inform us with plenty of notice and we will cancel your lesson.

We also ask that everyone washes their hands on arrival and departure. Hopefully we can continue to run as we are predominately in an outdoor environment.
