The loss of the rescue page and website seems to be an internal issue with the rescue in question

Karyn o Conor now Eli has been removed or resigned from her position of trustee at the rescue in question

This will be Karyn o Conor THIRD "fall out "with a rescue and the THIRD time she has been removed or resigned from the position of trustee with three different charities

Karyn o Conor was a former admin here at New Dawn and was removed from her post after we discovered she was siphoning of dogs fosters adopters and contacts for the rescue she had set up with another ex New Dawn foster

Karyn o Conor also sent two six months old lurcher x Mali pups that were coming to New Dawn to Mars and Minerva the rescue run by Mary Howe convicted animal abuser and was in regular communication with her

On her dismissal Karyn o Conor locked us out of the website she had set up ( luckily she was not the author of our Facebook rescue group) and set up the Facebook hate page No to New Dawn

Just a word of warning to the remaining two trustees on removal from her admin post Karyn o Conor embarked on a hate campaign which included making false and malicious allegations on Facebook and to a number of agencies and authorities team members workplaces were also contacted when complaints for which no evidence has ever been supplied were made

Obviously we can evidence the above

Who knows what has happened this time but there seems to be a bit of a pattern emerging

‼️HERE AT NEW DAWN WE DO NOT HOLD PERSONAL GRUDGES IF EITHER OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE RESCUE IN QUESTION NEED ANY HELP TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET ASSISTANCE WITH DOGS ETC PLEASE DO PM ONE OF THE NEW DAWN TEAM WHEN WE WILL DO ALL WE CAN TO HELP YOU DECENT MALINOIS RESCUES ARE NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER‼️

We are aware another malinois rescue has most unfortunately lost all their followers and information when an unfortunate mishap deleted their page and website

Last year we experienced a similar situation when our Facebook group of 6600 members was taken down by Facebook for breaching community standards

Luckily we did have a little bit of warning and were able to set up back up pages meaning we were able to save our information and the majority of active supporters

We are slightly worried a similar circumstance may occur

We still have two other pages/ groups and would encourage you to save their details ( or join) alternatively please save the names of New Dawn team members Julie Nevett Lia Tamara Beverley Ann Morris who can be contacted via pm and will be able to advise where we can be found

Nothing worse than loosing months and in some cases years of hard work because someone somewhere decides to push a button 🤦

KAI update

A few months ago we were asked to help a gronendael found as a stray in Spain

One of our sponsors offered to assist with the costs incurred preparing the dog for travel to the UK boarding fees etc so we were able to say yes

The adopters of one of our other Spanish gronendael has already offered a home to this boy we have named KAI

As always things have been going on behind the scenes adopters have been kept informed and now we are able to update you our supporters

There has been a few " issues" that have taken longer to resolve than anticipated but all being well KAI will be neutered in April and travel to his adopters in May 😊

We can't wait to meet you gorgeous boy ♥️

Some of our longer term supporters will remember the sad story of the Spanish Gronendael whose owner sadly took their own life

We were actively involved in the rescue of these dogs

We fund raised to help the Spanish rescue coordinating rehoming the dogs and agreed to take three dogs Marley Tika and Patas Blanchas their total costs which ran into £1000s was covered by our sponsor

Marley and Tika are both living their best lives here in the UK

Very sadly Patas Blanchas neuter operation hit complications and we lost her

We vowed we would never forget her and her sponsor wanted to do something in memory of Patas Blanchas and their beloved lurcher Tess

As some of you will know we now have a dedicated kennel at the home of one of our amazing fosters

This kennel is the Patas Blanchas kennel dedicated to the memory of a beautiful girl who is now reunited with her master

Thank you to our generous sponsor and their best friend Tess for making this possible

We aim to have more kennels available for our dogs in the not so distant future

This is our wonderful Kelly out doing some environmental training with her foster today Some one somewhere must want a beautiful and capable work partner

⚠️Ice Warning ⚠️ Yesterday was so cold today is going to be much the same As usual the weather doesn't stop jobs needing to be done animals to tend to check they are coping etc So took my dogs out as usual and went up to the horses ( Kira now double rugged) My older dogs just pottered slowly around one due to his age and weak back legs has problems walking on slippery surfaces but still wants to go out daily The girls Kendo and Tippi are as crazy as ever a bit of ice isn't going to stop them tearing around the field like lunatics We had company yesterday a retired military police dog trainer who was with me when the injuries happened Within half an hour of my dogs being out two had injuries to their pads We saw how Tippi injured her paw she jumped down from the hay bale there was nothing she could have cut her pad on ...... except the ICE Assuming that's how Star cut her paw too ⚠️THE ICE IS LIKE GLASS⚠️ Both dogs are ok wounds dressed etc All my dogs are having a stay at home day today I don't want any more injuries Please be careful in this awful weather

Before and after Rosa Rosa came to New Dawn after being found wandering the streets. She was still lactating and appeared to have been repeatedly used for breeding. She was fostered for just over a year with little interest probably due to her age. We agreed to have her with us so she had a Christmas in a home for the first time ever. Well she absolutely blew us away, the most affectionate and happy dog in think I have ever met. She decided the cuddle chair is hers and this is where she spends the majority of her time snoozing. Needless to say we adopted her too and she gets to spend the rest of her days happy with her brother and sisters.

Before and after- Sisu and Raya. Wow didn't you 2 girls start some drama! Sheffield pound contacted New Dawn after 2 pups had been seen consistently wandering the streets together (see posts from the area) Julie contacted me (Heather) and we agreed i would foster them especially as the pound knew of me as I had Ronin from them 6 months earlier. Que alot of crap flown my way by the usual few but it didn't stop me fostering these 2 beauties. Both were very skittish and afraid but they eventually started to come out of their shells. It became apparent they couldn't be homed together. Raya found her forever home elsewhere and is happy with her family (latest pic at the end in purple collar) Sisu was still waiting but as she had her paws under the table and a bond with our oldest CRD Eevee we decided to give her a forever home 🏡

Before and after: Ronin, the very first Chinese Red Dog to come to New Dawn. He arrived at the pound after being dumped on the streets of Sheffield, I remember seeing his post and instantly applying for him. When he came you could see the poor boy had a terrible start. I've included a picture where you can see a scar on his front leg, he's covered in them. Our vet believes he was beaten with a chain and shot in the back of the head. Adapting to a new life was not easy for him, he maintains a weariness of men but is overall my best boy. He's so loving and wonderful to have in our family. Included are pics of at the pound, new home, gotcha day and a couple of new ones. Proof of the great work we do here at New Dawn Malinois Rescue
