Stan would eat these straight from your hand, I know some dogs who forage for these & brambles as well as Raspberries! Tia, Buddy Jett & Beith Buddy all to forage. I shall need to mix these with Deebos dinner 😊

Beith Buddy is happy that the wild strawberries are out, I share them with him 😂 Kilbirnie Buddy & Jett also like to forage, they love to eat the brambles when they come out. Jett has mistakenly ate a couple of rose hips too 😋

It's a totally different deal if you are a Bulldog owner. I keep my house cool for Deebo only to find him sunbathing outside 😡

Good Morning All 🐾❤️

It’s another sunny and hot day 🌞🕶️
Our fur babies will all be feeling the heat. We have lots to keep them cool from ice cream, frozen treats and even toys you can soak and freeze to keep them cool.

Also the shop is really warm already and our cars will also be hot so to save an uncomfortable journey or visit maybe leave your fur babies at home so they stay cool and safe.

Another hot day, I'm not a fan of this heat at all. Seems some of the doggos are the same. Arlo, Bailey, Fergus, Biffy & Spyro & Deebo ❤️🐾❤️

Tick season has arrived!

Ticks hate the smell of lemon, orange, cinnamon, lavender, peppermint, and rose geranium,cedarwood thyme,so they'll avoid latching on to anything that smells of those items. Any of these or a combination can be used in DIY sprays or added to almond oil and rubbed on exposed.

1 oz Any carrier oil such as Witch Hazel, almond oil or lotion.
7 drops Geranium.
4 drops Peppermint.
4 drops Thyme.
4 drops Cedarwood or Lavender.

Eucalyptus Oil. Not only is eucalyptus oil a tick killer, but it also makes for an effective repellent as well, and it's naturally safe and effective on the body. Mix with carrier oil. NOTE: Eucalyptus is toxic for dogs and cats.
Use caution when using any essential oil around pets.

Pets, A homemade spray solution of one part vinegar and one part water helps keep ticks and fleas away from your pets. Pour the solution in a spray bottle and spray directly onto your pets, but be careful not to get it in their eyes.

Early in February a team from Hessilhead was invited to the Scotiacon Convention in Glasgow. Every year Scotiaon choose an animal charity to support, and this year it was Hessilhead's turn. A few days ago we heard the amazingly good news that £40,000 had been raised over the weekend. We can't thank Scotiacon enough. This is an enormous boost to our funds and will help with the new projects and upgrading that are ongoing at present. You can see from the pic that the Hessilhead team had a good time too.
