Here at McNeill's K9 Services like most of you we treat our dogs like a member of the family. Therefore while they are in our care they are treated like one of the children. Our most popular service is our K9 walkies which is broke down to numberous options. So whether you just require your dog being let out for toilet breaks due to old age or illness, or if you have an energetic husky like us we

offer long walks of 1h or more. All our walkies have the option of individual for the more timid or aggressive dog or as a group (max 4) where they can enjoy some social time with other K9 friends. Either way we can tailor a package to your requirements. Another service we offer is our K9 day care which is broke down to either part time (4 hrs) full time (8hrs). During this time your dog will be treated as one of the family and go on trips to the park and beach and typically have 3 walks a day. Over and above this if you wish to give your dog some added pampering we can arrange for our mobile grooming service to visit the house and treat them like a prince or princess before hometime. This is a fantastic facility as it frees up more quality time you have with your pet on your time off instead of spending it at the groomers. Lastly we offer a boarding facility for when you fancy a few days holiday. We have the choice of our outdoor kennels or can stay indoors with the family. Either way they will enjoy there own 5* holiday with lots of play and exercise. as this is a premium service booking in advance is required as we can only have one family at a time. Dog Vaccination Lepto 4

Just a heads up and I'm not a vet. Lepto 2 is being discontinued so please check your dogs Vaccination card to see if it was Lepto 2 that your dog previously received. If they did when it comes to boosters the vet should inform you that they need to give lepto4 and in 2 batches (just like the puppy ones). Now I've spoken to a few clients that are totally unaware of this and have either not been informed prior to the appointment or even after this injection has happened.

Now I'm not going to go into the major issues with lepto4 including seizures and death, you can look at the FB group if you want to look into it. I for 1 will not be giving my dog lepto4 ever. You can also look at how the initial puppy jabs can cover them most of the dogs life (immunity checks are recommended). However whatever you decide, do your research and make an educated decision. If anyone wishes the FB group to look into this further I'll link it in the comments.

Firework laws

Over the last week all I've read about is dogs absolutely terrified but something that's not needed. Silent fireworks are readily available so no need to traumatise animals and humans.

This is the law in Scotland so if you're setting them off please follow the law, if your dog is being traumatised outwith these times please report it as this is the only way something will be done.

When I tell clients to make sure you groom to the skin to ensure matt free this is an easy way to check any dogs coat. This is tilly today but you can use a hairdryer on cool to check your own dog. If the coat clumps it's matted, it should separate each individual hair. Any questions just drop me a message

Another The other service we offer is a grooming service, whether it's just a brush through, full groom or a full dematting of there coat we can provide a groom to suit your needs.

Lastly we offer our walk & pamper packages which is offered on a 4 or 12 week block and includes 3 walks a week plus a full VIP groom every 4 weeks. So no need to spend your day off at the groomers, just return home from work and it's all done. Well now you know your pet will have the time of there lives with McNeill K9 Services what about you.
