I started making Paracord leads and collars just after we got Alfie, our Wire Fox Terrier. Any one who knows a WFT will know that when they are off their lead, they don't always come back! I was looking for a strong piece of cord to tie to his collar when he was off his lead so that I could stand on it to stop him running off again. Cobra weave leads are very strong but are

comfortable to use - Paracord doesn't create friction burns if your dog suddenly pulls on the lead. The cord is woven around a centre core which runs right through the lead from the hook and around the handle. The handle won't unravel as it is woven back into the lead. A 'King Cobra' or double cobra weave can be used for larger dog collars and a pleated lead with cobra handle is excellent for small dogs. Both of these options can be seen in the photo gallery. Options available? It's up to you! I can make a Cobra lead up to 12 feet long and in any 2 colours you would like. Have a look at the photo gallery for examples of leads I have sold but please feel free to select the colours of your choice.. Popular choices:

As regular customers already know, I do everything I can to keep prices as affordable as possible. I remain determined not to increase prices, however, the rising cost of shipping have forced me to stop offering free post on all orders. Reluctantly, I’ve added £2 to all orders to help cover the cost of post. Anyone ordering via www.alfiesleads.co.uk will see the £2 added at the checkout. It’s £2 regardless of the number of items being ordered, not per item.
If you are local and prefer to collect from Kilmarnock, Scotland I can refund the £2 via the website, just let me know.
All of my items on EBay and Etsy have also been updated to include £2 on each shopping basket.
I will also include this cost in any orders placed via Facebook and Instagram.

Just finished making these 16 strand herringbone weave leads. Working 8 strands in each hand is a bit of a challenge but they turned out very well. Just over 2cm thick. I hope their new owner likes them. That’s 16 x 550lb breaking strength! BIG dogs!!

These handy little keeper straps wrap around the training line and provide a neat loop to hang it up. They work well without the need to hang them up due to the way the straps are made. Some special order marine rope arrived yesterday. 12mm and 14mm thick. Various lengths. I have: 12mm Olive reflective 7ft Abys 6ft Mermaid 11.5ft Captain 10.5ft Black and White 8.5ft Gold 6.5ft Graphite 7ft Neon Pink 8ft and 4ft 14mm Silver mint 4ft Purple 9ft Lavender 6ft Yellow 13ft Champagne 6.5ft These colours are perfect for Leads, Slip Leads and Slip Collars. If you would like to order a lead, I need 1ft to make the handle and secure the hook/ring so please take this into account when ordering. An extra 4 inches are needed for slip collars. These are in addition to the standard 10 colours I always in stock. I tend to carry 30m of each colour in 3 sizes - 10mm, 12mm and 14mm. Special orders can be made at any time so please let me know if you have something in mind, I can source it for you. It will take a few days for the rope to come from Holland.
