Founded c. 1818 by Luke and Jesse Siddons at the Hill Top Foundry, West Bromwich. The firm was later known as Joseph and Jesse Siddons.

Marks include: J&J. Siddons, West Bromwich; J&J. S; Siddons W.B.; Siddons.
This small pan No 1 is a fine example of their early work.
Very possibly of museum interest, certainly a collectors piece.

An original circa 1900 papier-mâché Rollute - Decamps French Bully whose name is Alan !!!
This very rare little pooch is life size, nods and has painted eyes, his original red leather with straw collar and certainly looks his age. Complete in every respect with only ware to his paint here and there.
I’ve posted eight pictures of him showing all aspects of his shape and form to give you a true impression of this beautiful creatures
overall condition.
Purchased from a lovely lady who was downsizing and selling family heirlooms in difficult circumstances. ( who was very happy with what I paid for him.)
NOTE
This is the only Roullet - Decamps frenchie I can find of its type with its nodding head as it’s only moving feature. There are others that growl and whose mouths open but to my mind appear rather ugly.

Another great has fallen and departed.

With the van loaded we retire for breakfast with a feeling of a job well done.

Amiens Grand Flea Market beings tonight at 12 o’clock midnight.
It’s the largest market and best attended in the North of the country.
With 50 streets and boulevards around the ancient cathedral centre cleared for thousands of market traders to sell their wares.
It’s said the market is attended by over 80,000 buyers from the world over.
Weather is set Fair it should be a good one 🤞

I have shown no pictures of this place so you can discover it for your selves.
If you drive through the narrow valley from the far end and continue all the way, it says the road is closed, but you can get through and it brings you out high on the mountain top looking out over Hay-on-Wye and the magnificent view from the top of Mid Wales and the valleys beyond.
