In regards to my last post, this video shows the correct way to brush with a slicker brush & seperating the hair all over to brush right from the root.

Brushing your dogs is so so important and doing this the correct way is also very important. I will pop a video of the correct way to brush your dog on a separate post so keep an eye out for this.
I can’t stress enough that if we come across matting quite tight to the skin we have to go short as my clippers will only go under the matting it will not cut through the mats, I understand it’s frustrating when you want to keep your dog a longer length or particular look but it is impossible for me to do so unless you keep your dog brushed and mat free inbetween grooms, not even just this but matting causes your dogs so much pain as it pulls very tightly at the skin. I work to a very tight schedule as most of you are aware it is just me, myself & I and matting can double my expected time so please let me know when booking so I can make sure I have enough space to get this big job done without me having to run over into another appointment. There also is a matting charge from £6-£20 depending on the severity for the extra time it take but also dealing with matting blunts my equipment (scissors, clipper blades) so meaning I have to then get them sharpened (£20) or buying new blades £40-£60 per blade. Also recommended grooms for your dogs is between 4-8 weeks (8 weeks being the longest) anything more and the chances are it’s going to end up out of control/matted and having to go super short. Again this is not a post of slating anybody but more to educate and just make you aware ☺️
