🐾 To my beloved companions who have crossed the bridge… thank you. ❤️

Thank you for every wag, every purr, every look that told me I was your world.
You gave me a love so pure and steady that I still feel it wrapping around my heart today.

You taught me joy in small moments, comfort in hard days, and what true loyalty really means.

Though my arms can’t hold you, my soul carries you everywhere.
I picture you in a place where the sun is warm, the grass is soft, and every path leads to adventure. 🌈

One day, I’ll meet you there—and you’ll come running back into my arms.

Until then, run free, my precious ones.
Forever the brightest part of my heart. ❤️🐾

Across the Rainbow Bridge, Until We Meet Again

Across the rainbow bridge you roam,
to fields of light, your brand-new home.
Where pain is gone, where skies are clear,
yet in my heart, you’re always near.

Your paw prints fade along the hue,
of reds and golds, of violet too.
Each step you take, though out of sight,
is carried upward into light.

I held you close, I said goodbye,
with tears that burned, I could not hide.
But even as I let you go,
a part of me went with you so.

The quiet house now feels so still,
yet echoes with your love’s soft will.
Your toys untouched, your bed remains,
reminders woven through the pain.

I see you in the morning sun,
I hear you when the day is done.
The gentle wind, the stars at night,
they whisper that you’re safe, all right.

Though grief may bend my fragile soul,
your memory keeps my spirit whole.
And when my time on earth is through,
I’ll cross that bridge and walk to you.

So wait for me, my dearest friend,
this is not truly where we end.
For love’s eternal, never gone,
it only shifts, it carries on.

Across the rainbow bridge you run,
beneath a never-setting sun.
Until the day I join you there,
please guard me with your tender care.

Not long after my loss, a friend asked me a question that lingered in my heart:
“Are you still sad about your pet?”

At first, I was. Very much. The silence in the house was heavy. Their toy in the corner, the empty spot on the couch, the quiet nights without their presence—every detail reminded me of what I had lost.

But as time passed, I began to understand something. Why should I stay sad when my beloved pet is in heaven, running free, without pain, without fear, sending me little signs that love still connects us? What would make me truly sad is believing they are not happy—but in my heart, I know they are.

And then I asked myself: what can I do with this love that still lives inside me?

I can keep their memory alive by speaking their name and sharing their story.
I can give kindness to other animals—by adopting, rescuing, or simply offering food and care to a stray.
I can open my heart to a new pet when the time feels right, not to replace the one I lost, but to continue the cycle of love they taught me.

Because grief does not have to end in sorrow—it can transform into gratitude and action. Every pawprint on my heart is a reminder to live with more compassion, to love deeper, and to honor the happiness my pet gave me by spreading it forward.

Love never dies. It only changes form, and now it guides me toward giving the same joy to others.
