We had a super jump clinic today, and it was lovely to welcome everyone back, ready to work on goals for the new year ahead.

Today we focused on riding technical lines, such as related distances, and dog legs, with a variety of fillers added in to challenge confidence of both horse and rider.

Unfortunately our photography skills let us down once again, so no action shots from the day 🙈But a huge well done has to be said to all todays riders, who worked really hard and challenged themselves with todays exercises, whether their aim was confidence, improving rhythm, or maintaining focus over the fences. An absolute pleasure to teach as always!

Next week we have our Working Equitation Clinic, which is now full. Please look out for our next Jump Clinic date, which will take place during the February half term.

We were back in full swing today with our monthly Grid Work Clinic at Beverley Polo Club.

Hats off to all of our riders today as we dealt with lots of fresh ponies, all keen to enjoy the grid 🙈 Fantastic work from everyone who joined us - thankfully the grid exercise soon switched the horses brains into gear and we saw some wonderful results.

🎉Dressage Points League Update 🎉

After another fantastic year, we are about to crown our 2024 Unaffiliated Points League Champions, and start our 2025 League.

With the unexpected bad weather over the last few months, we were unable to squeeze our final points league competition in, so the 2024 league tables will stay as below.

Well done to all of our champions! We hope you can join us on Sunday 19th January for our points league presentation, which will be taking place during our first competition of the year.

Please note the change of venue - this will be held at Cottingham Equestrian Centre. Times of the presentation to be confirmed once entries close.

As always, we would like to thank our brilliant sponsors who continue to support us year in and year out - Razor Sharp - UK Ltd, Bell4Branding Limited, and Patrick Wilkinson Saddlery.

Please let us know what you would like to see from us for 2025 - which tests, prizes, team events etc that you would like to see us bring to the table! Feedback always welcome!

This weekend it was back to business, as we held our first Pole Work Clinic of 2025, as well as joining the wonderful, White Rose Riding Club, for their first Junior Saturday session of the year.

Whilst the weather meant that it wasn’t possible for our none livery clients to travel to us, we ran a busy morning of sessions for our CES liveries, with a really fun pole work layout to hand. We are incredibly thankful for our indoor facility on days like these, and managed to keep horse and riders busy, working hard, making achievements, and most importantly, staying warm and dry!

Yesterday, we joined the White Rose Riding Club over at Beverley Polo Club for their Saturday Junior session. It was lovely to be a part of this fantastic riding club, and was a pleasure to meet so many incredible, enthusiast young riders.

Next week we are resuming coaching as usual, with availability for flat, pole work, or jump lessons either at CEC using our facilities, or on a fully insured, freelance basis. We also hosting our monthly Grid Work Clinic at Beverley Polo Club, which is bookable via www.equoevents.com

❄️Pole Work Clinic - Cancelled ❄️

Unfortunately, with the snow and sleet we have experienced this morning, we have taken the decision to cancel todays Pole Work Clinic.

Not only do we not want to encourage anyone to travel unnecessarily, but we have also accessed the safety of the car parks for unloading horses, and do not feel it is suitable.

The clinic will still go ahead for our liveries who have booked on the day, but all other bookings will be transferred to next month, unless we can rearrange another date this month.

Thank you for understanding. Stay safe and enjoy the snow!

Well the wind may have stopped us from our annual livery Christmas pub hack into Cottingham today, but we still had great fun getting together for some food, fizz and secret Santa surprises!

Thank you so much to all of our amazing liveries for pulling together to make such a super day, we never need much of an excuse for a get together here at CEC, and today was especially lovely.

Today was our final competition of what has been an extremely busy year, and what better to wrap the year up than with our Christmas Jumper Show Jumping.

Our venue today was Beverley Polo Club, and we had a very busy day from the first class to the last, with some really fun rounds being ridden, excellent jump offs, brilliant lead rein efforts, and some very sassy ponies!

Thank you to everyone who came along to compete, assist, support and give a hand with the day, it was real team effort and we always feel so privileged to have such a brilliant team of supporters.

As always, everyone put so much effort and detail into their outfits, and it was incredibly difficult to choose our Junior, and Senior, Fancy Dress winners. After much debate and consideration, our Junior Fancy Dress winners has to be Ella Mann and Amos, who impressed with their attention to detail.

A huge shout out has to go to Poppy Shepherd and Pluto for their inflatable Santa outfit, which impressed us, even if it frightened the other horses 🤣Adult fancy dress winner went to Olivia Ashworth and Zack, who again impressed with their attention to detail, and were certainly flying with their wings today!

We hope today really helped get everyone in the mood for a lovely Christmas, and once again want to thank every single person who joined in today, and to Beverley Polo Club for being fantastic hosts.

Our 2025 event calendar is looking as busy and exciting as ever - please keep an eye out for next years dates.

And from all of us at CES - Happy Christmas!
