Barney Update.
Barney has had a thorough check out by the vet today. Conclusion, he is under weight, has lice, (will be treated for this) runny eyes( ointment given) looks like he has recently been castrated and it has got infected, (wrong time of year to do it, due to flies) Tetanus injection administered, along with antibiotics and pain killers. He will be on these for the next 5 days and will then be reassessed. I was right about his age, around 1-2 years old. Hopefully, now he can begin his recovery.

I went to a horse sale yesterday and unintentionally ended up rescuing a very sad donkey, he is supposed to be 5 but think he is only around 1 - 2 years old. We have cleaned him up a little, wormed him and will be getting the vet out to see what else is wrong with him . He is under weight and his feet are not great, his coat was terribly matted underneath, he has also got something going on underneath, a possible bodge job of a castration. So if you see him about, his name is Barney, and hopefully, we can get him back to full health

Hi folks, this here is Blackie. Blackie is a feral cat, who has lived here for around 6 years. Blackie has a foot missing, so it looks like she has a poorly leg, Blackie does not have a poorly leg, Blackie just limps a bit. This does not make any difference to Blackies life. Blackie likes to wonder around the car park BUT Blackie does not like to be picked up, so please, if you see Blackie, just leave her be, to do what she does. She is well fed and loves her life here. Paul is very protective about Blackie and does not like to see her upset. Thank you for your co operation

We are looking for volunteers to come help with our animals, lots and lots of chickens, alpacas, mini ponies, mini pigs, pygmy goats, amongst other things. It is hard work, lots of cleaning out, so needs to be very animal orientated, not afraid to get dirty, be able to make their own way here, be able to clean out animals unsupervised. Ponies need grooming, goats will need playing with and walking. Pigs need their scratches, alpacas need gentle handling and cuddles. Chickens, well, they just crap everywhere but are quite funny. If you think you would enjoy doing this or know someone who may then please message us. Over 18 years and upwards only. Thanks

Welcome to BlueRose Dog Walking Field Hire. We know how hard it is sometimes to walk your dogs off lead without worrying about other dogs or people if you have a re active dog, nervous dog or maybe one that goes deaf when you call them or maybe you just want to escape the madness of every one, we have the solution, come and walk your dogs in peace, set in the outskirts of the beautiful village of Swindon, we are on top of a hill so the views on a clear day are breathtaking, private fields so no one to bother you, we also run a smallholding and have everything from donkeys,horses,Saddleback pigs,Jersey cows, teddy bear Ryland sheep and not forgetting the 2 Alpacas, they are all safely away in other fields but you can often get to see them over the fence, if your dog is reactive to livestock then we can move them out of reach so its not a problem.We are very experienced dog owners, having multiple dogs ourselves.
