☀️ Molly ☀️
Good golly Miss Molly was in today for a full groom. Her family have been doing a great job brushing her coat at home, there was just a few knots around where her collar and harness sits. I was able to just brush these out and keep her coat nice and full so she could keep that teddy bear appearance 🐻

🍓Alfie🍓
The sweet Alfie was in for his haircut last week. He’s a man of advanced years, so we go for a nice low maintenance haircut to keep him feeling fresh and comfortable. I went shorter on his ears to bring out his Bichon features a bit more, and I think he looks like a puppy again ❤️

🪶Fluff Drying🪶
It might be my favourite thing to do. My photos are full of pictures of dogs, post bath and pre hair cut after they’ve been thoroughly dried and brushed out. Prepping dogs coats, especially curly coats, makes up for 2/3rds of the full groom so it’s always worth taking that extra bit of time and energy making sure they’re 100% clean , dry and knot free before starting anything else.

Well where did those 12 months go?!? It’s been a whirlwind and, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, thank you (thank you,

🍓Bramble🍓
I loooove a cylindrical scissored leg 👌 and Bramble’s got fab pins to cut ✂️ I bathed her in forget me knots shampoo so she was smelling like a Bakewell, and the shampoo is great to loosen knots and tangles in longer coats. Bramble, despite being FULL of typical puppy enthusiasm, can be as still as a stone so is great to do some hand scissor work on her. She was looking cute as a button and finished with a spritz of peach bum spray 🍑

🌺Poppy🌺
Look how gorgeous Poppy turned out after her groom today ❤️ I tried out a new shampoo, made specifically for black coated dogs and it made her coat look like the shiniest of velvet 😍 It was the emerald black shampoo by follows by peach bum spray to get Miss Poppy smelling lovely and looking gorgeous

🚀Benny🚀
It was today, so Benny’s puppy groom was definitely well timed 👌 This guy goes from 1000miles an hour to 0 in the blink of an eye, splashing around in the bath and trying to drink the shampoo to snoozing whilst under the dryer 😴 He’s an absolute character and gives 10/10 slobbery kisses.

😛Jessie and Jasper😛
Jessie and Jasper got the memo that it was although they were a few days early as they came in last week for their grooms. Jessie had a distinctly chunky beard which really needed taking down to give this lovely lady a nice clean face. I think they both looked really smart after their full grooms, and Jasper definitely would’ve burnt some calories after practically bouncing around the groom room while waiting for Jessie to be finished. So all in all, a fab result for everyone ❤️

Pickle the bundle of fun was back last week for a full groom as she was disappearing under her fringe. And as you might be able to tell from her after picture, she is one excitable girl! However, she did have a 20mins lull after her bath, while being dried she was lovely, calm and relaxed…little did I know she was just recharging her batteries ready for the next round

🌸Daisy🌸
Beautiful Daisy was in for a full groom today, and gave a Shakespearean performance when it came to her humans dropping her off 💔They really know how to make you feel bad. But within seconds of the gate closing she was trotting her way to the groom room for a spruce up. I made a time lapse video of her groom for peace of mind (which you can find on my insta) and she was 10/10 throughout.

🐭Shiva🐭
Shiva aka Minnie Mouse was back for her 4 weekly regular groom. She’s a little old lady but has a big personality. We love to keep her ears long and a Pom Pom on her tail. I used hypoallergenic shampoo which has been great at getting dogs squeaky clean without drying out coats or irritating sensitive skin. I also used peach bum spray which doesn’t have any alcohol in so is less likely to cause irritation too and left Shiva smelling like sweet orange and jasmine (…and peach). It’s always lovely when Shiva trots through the gate for her grooms ❤️

🍭Stevie🍭
The adorable Stevie was in for her first full groom today. She’s previously been in before for a mini groom to build up her confidence and tolerance so that it’s all a positive grooming experience. She did so well in the end, even tolerating endless amounts of pictures I took of her post bath and blow dry (she is the definition of FLUFF dry😂) I used hypoallergenic shampoo, maximised the floof volume with flexi slicker brush and spritzed butch leather spray to finish off. 10/10 with a rubber duck bandana from .bandannasandbows to complete the lewk 🦆

❤️Bertie❤️
Bertie was in this week for his groom before Christmas. Bertie is on a regular 5 week grooming schedule to keep him looking his best. It’s important for doodle breeds to have regular grooming, both at home and by a groomer, to help keep their coat in great condition. Bertie is really well maintained at home, so when he comes in he’s a dream to brush out and fluff dry (see photo 2) for cloud-like proof ☁️. It’s the perfect foundation for a good teddy bear finish 🧸

🛁💡Price increase January 2024💡🛁
There will be an increase in my prices effective from 1st January 2023. This will mainly affect the cost of puppy/mini grooms, this is to more accurately reflect the time and resources that go into puppy grooms. I will be getting in touch with customers who already have appointments booked in January/February to advise the new pricing. For existing customers contacting me to book a new appointment I will let you know what your new price will be before confirming your booking.

**December appointments are not affected, price increase will only take place after 1st January 2024**

Toby was back with me last week for his 2nd groom. He’d grown SO much since I’d last seen him, and he’s learned how to sit and everything 😇 He’s partially magnetic to muddy puddles according to his family so we went shorter than last time, especially around his face, to help him stay clean(ish) He was bathed in Motherfluffer shampoo and finished with pumpkin spice spray 🎃 He was an absolute superstar throughout 💫 Well done Toby!! 👏

The gorgeous Evie came in yesterday for a thorough de-fluffing as she’d gotten so long already! She was bathed in whitening shampoo to bring her fur back to shiny and white, and went a bit shorter on her face and legs to help keep her clean in this wet weather. That teef-y grin hopefully means she was very happy with how she looked too at the end.

The charming Dexter came in last week for a full groom. He rocked a shaggy Rod Stewart look after being bathed in Motherfluffer shampoo and thoroughly fluff dried (see photo 2), but the cuteness levels were off the scales after he had a tidy up ✂️ The post haircut zoomies were certainly something to behold. He was spritzed in gingerbread fragrance and was wearing the heck out of a Christmas bandana 🎅

💎 Dexter💎
The very handsome Dexter came in yesterday for a senior pamper and was feeling fresh afterwards 💅 It was his first ever professional groom at the grand age of 13, but you’d have thought he’s been getting grooms every week for how chilled out he was. I was fully prepared to go at his speed, and take lots of breaks so not to overwhelm him, but he was not phased at all. Dexter has a few medical issues which meant I had to alter how I handled him but he made my job so easy by just going with the flow! I thought he looked so handsome, just look at how white and crisp that coat is 🕶️

🍓Bramble🍓
It’s been puppies, puppies, puppies at Ey Up PUP for the past few weeks! Bramble the cockerpoo puppy was in for her first puppy groom after previously coming in for her introductory sessions. Bramble is a typically adventurous and confident puppy, so she took the whole process in her stride! She looked cute as a button afterwards and you could see her gorgeous little face after a good tidy up 😍

This playful little chap is Toby the Cockerpoo. He, much like the rest of us, has been feeling the heat 🥵 so was ready for a good wig chop and tidy up. It was his first groom with me, but he was an absolute superstar all the way through! ⭐️ He was bathed in oatmeal shampoo, he had a thorough de-floofing and finished with peach bum spray 🍑 He was looking extremely distinguished and handsome afterwards, and he’s a bit more prepared for a scorchio weekend 🔥

⭐️Obi⭐️
The eye-wateringly gorgeous Obi came in for a bath and dry yesterday. This handsome slice of beefcake is only 8 months old and is pure muscle already 💪 but he’s a big softie preferring to show off his tricks and plastering you with kisses 😘 Silver Labradors are almost mythical, not seen as frequently as their yellow, black or chocolate cousins, so it was an absolute treat to meet Obi 🤗 I bathed him in anti-shedding shampoo, and he had a spritz of wild lemongrass anti-shedding spray.

Elvis was needing a periscope to see over his bushy beard when he came in this morning! He had a refreshing bath in Mother Fluffer Shampoo, thorough blow dry, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, paw pads clipped out and all over hair cut ✂️ and he was looking fab once again! Grooms aren’t his favourite activity but he endures it, bless him, 😂 and he walks out wearing the absolute heck out of his bandana 😍 and smelling lush with some butch leather fragrance 🤠

🦁Simba🦁
I think it’s safe to say Simba had a smidge of undercoat that was ready to come out 🤔 This lovely older boy was impeccably behaved for his bath and de-shed today. Simba is a German Shepherd x Husky and he was very patient while I brushed him out (…and brushed, and brushed and brushed). He was bathed in .professional deep clean shampoo, and had a spritz of rhubarb and custard spray. He was looking so handsome, just look at that face!

Happy birthday Ollie-bollie ❤️ Today is this handsome young man’s birthday. He came in on Friday for a fresh cut and was looking very sharp when he left (even if it was POURING with rain, we managed to bundle him into the car before making his hair go frizzy) Ollie is a Bichon Frise and I’m gradually making progress to get that classic Bichon Snowball head shape⛄️(for any groomers looking at this post - after I took this photo I did go back and get rid of that wispy hair in front of his eyes 😂) See photo 3 for a throw back to when Ollie came to me back in November for his first puppy groom 🥰 look how smol he was!!

🐕Puppy Grooms🐕 4 month old Dillon came for his first grooming appointment today. The time is spent getting him use to the sights and sounds of the grooming environment, getting a bath and blow dry, and good brush and trimming his feet and sanitary areas. This is all to set him up for success in the future, and making future grooming appointments a lot less daunting. Dillon took a lot of this in his stride being such a confident pooch already!
