⭐️ Star patient of the month ⭐️

Our pet of the month is an unusual one this time.

Meet Sage, the 10-week-old gosling!

Sage belongs to our vet nurse Justine who had noticed that she was struggling to swallow and her neck looked swollen. On examination, our vets thought that she might have something stuck in her oesophagus. Sage was anaesthetised, then an x-ray was taken. This revealed that a large foreign body was stuck in her throat.

Luckily, we were able to pull this out through Sage’s mouth. It turned out to be a large mass of horse hair and grass – something that was not going to be able to pass through Sage’s system.

Sage made a quick recovery and was soon awake and making herself very popular with the staff.
