Trilanco has always been known as a family-run company and now this extends to these three beauties.

Known as 'Doggy Day Care', on a trip to Trilanco HQ you will quite often see one, two or all of these scampering about the place. They were actually waiting patiently for our MD, Martin (AKA The Dogfather) to come back to his office.

Polly is Martin's collie and Daphne & Lola belong to Jessica 💚💛

Our Head of Sales, Jess Balmer, had the worthwhile task of handing over Trilanco's donation of a mounting block to one of our local disabled riding centres for use in their classes.

Mike and Christine, who are joint partners and owners of Wrea Green Equestrian Centre were really appreciative of the donation.

Mike said: The mounting block will be a great help to our riders and horses.

Welcome to the first Pet of the Month feature for 2025 and another glimpse at our furry or in this case, feathered friends in the Trilanco family 💚💛

Meet Joan’s Hen’s Maggie & Bernadette!
Joan is our HR Manager and she has worked at Trilanco for 6 years!

Joan says; Maggie is our white hen who we originally acquired during lockdown. She is top of the pecking order from the original three hens. She is a tough bird. She likes to get out of her run to roam and forage in the garden, mainly in the leaves and flower beds. When Bernadette came along about six years ago she had quite a difficult time settling in as Maggie pecked her head quite a lot. After a few days all was calm again.
They are family pets as well as supplying us with eggs and we really enjoy owning them!

Trilanco is a specialist equine, pet and agricultural products wholesaler. We are based in Wesham, Lancashire, and deliver throughout the UK and Ireland and export worldwide.

Our story began in 1979 when the company started trading as an agricultural products wholesaler. As the demand for equine and pet products increased, Trilanco evolved to support the needs of our customers. We now offer over 250 quality brands from leading manufacturers from across the world and have more than 20,000 products in our current catalogue, including products exclusive to Trilanco, and new lines are being added all the time.

We have a team of Area Sales Managers based throughout the UK and Ireland, our own fleet of vans for nationwide delivery, an in-house sales support team, and a team dedicated to supporting international customers.

In January 2017, we moved into our new and purpose-built premises in Lancashire. This £7 million business investment, including a 110,000 sq ft warehouse occupying more than six acres of land, plus new systems and processes, allow for quicker picking and even faster despatch.

We support retailers and distributors with monthly newsletters, exclusive monthly offers and promotions, and our team includes R-SQPs (Suitably Qualified Persons) who can advise on medicines for farm animals, equine and companion animals.

Trilanco is a trade member of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) and the Animal Health Distributors Association (AHDA).

We have won the BETA Trade Supplier of the Year award three times and have also been recognised as one of the UK's most inspiring and fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in London Stock Exchange's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report. More recently, we won Lancashire Business View's Red Rose Award for Family Business of the Year 2018, and were awarded Best Agricultural & Pet Product Wholesaler in the 2018 UK Enterprise Awards hosted by SME-News.
