Sploot is still waiting for his forever home! He had been reserved following his last spotlight but sadly it fell through 😢 Meet Sploot, a stunning white albino bunny with enchanting pink eyes and a gentle soul. Sploot is searching for a playful bunny companion to snuggle and have fun with. This tidy, low-maintenance bunny uses his litter tray and enjoys exploring the garden in the evenings, often showing off with zoomies and binkies to express his happiness. Sploot prefers gentle pats over being lifted and enjoys interacting with both adults and children. If you sit quietly, he’ll come investigate you, and if you’re lucky, he might even “chin” you to mark you as his. Sploot would love a forever home where he can be himself, a playful, loving, and easygoing bunny. Could you be his perfect match? 💜
Meet Henry 💜 This sweet boy is waiting for a new home after his loving owner sadly passed away. Due to this Henry can be a wee bit shy but we are seeing him get more confident every day! He’ll happily take some treats out of our volunteers hands and is warming up to head rubs when he is comfortable. Henry is half wild which is why he’s such a gorgeous colouring, but has lived in a domestic environment his whole life and would be happy to be indoors or outdoors. His ideal adaptor would be someone who is just happy to observe and watch him be a rabbit with a companion of his own (or more!) 🧡
Treat time with Clover! Thank you to anyone who has donated a treat to the bunnies recently💜🧡 Treats can help provide mental stimulation which is so important in a rescue environment while waiting for their forever homes! Buttercup and Basil have been exploring their new toy 💕 Basil is not sure, but I think Buttercup is definitely having a great time!
Meet CeCe and Clive! These two bonded cuties are on the hunt for their forever home 💜 Clive is just the most beautiful black bun with a laid back personality. One of his favourite things is going through his tunnels, or running around zooming and binkying! He’s an affectionate guy, who really loves his nose rubs and being petted from nose to tail. He’s also very well litter trained. He just loves company and games. Clive enjoys adventures and being with his humans all evening. He is such a love bug! CeCe is a gorgeous girl with a big personality. She's a grumpy looking rabbit, but looks can be deceiving! She is actually an absolute joy to watch as she zoomies and binkies around. She loves exploring and cuddling up with her bestie Clive. The fur on her back can grow quite long so needs a wee trim every now and then. Together these two are a delight and would make a lovely addition in your home 🧡 https://belovedrabbits.org/adopt/
If you saw our last posts on the wait for space in the rescue, you’ll know that the demand for rehoming space is at an all-time high. A little over a year ago we introduced a new option the Rehoming Assistance Programme.
The Rehoming Assistance Programme – or RAP – means that once a rabbit or rabbits have been added to our waiting list for a rescue space, we can then assess whether they’re suitable to be listed on our adoption pages and we can start looking for a new home for them while they are still with their original owner.
What does this involve? The rabbit(s) would need to have a welfare assessment, and this is either done at the owners vets or a trained member of our team can conduct the welfare assessment either at our appointments office or by attending a home visit.
The welfare assessment involves giving the rabbit a thorough check, and ensuring they are ready for adoption. If any concerns we would recommend a vet check and the rabbits wouldn’t be listed for adoption until any health concerns were addressed and resolved.
After the welfare check, we need to know all about the rabbit, to ensure we find the right owner, new home environment and bonded bunnies for them. We also need photos, and lots of them!
The RAP is ideal for owners who need to rehome their rabbits but know there will be a wait – likely of a few months. We do everything we can to support them in the interim. We do take a lot of care to make sure only adoption-ready rabbits are featured as part of the RAP.
The number of applications we have on the waiting list at any one time usually sits around 80, and this often equates to approximately 130 rabbits. How can you help? If you’re considering adopting we’re sure we have the bunny or bunnies for you! We have so many rabbits available for adoption right now, we can work with you to find the right match.
Not only would you be giving a home to bunnies in need, but you’d be allowing us to offer the space to other buns w
Meet Basil and Buttercup, a sweet bonded pair looking for a loving home! Buttercup is the confident foodie, always first to check out snacks, while Basil is more reserved but can’t resist the sound of the fridge opening. Both love their hay, and keep tidy. They prefer not to be handled too much, but with patience, Buttercup will enjoy head rubs, and Basil will show his cheeky side in no time! Buttercup takes medication for mild arthritis and handles it well and never makes a fuss. Currently indoor bunnies, they’d also enjoy a secure outdoor setup. Could you offer this adorable duo their forever home? 💜 https://belovedrabbits.org/adopt/
Did you know that you can donate a Welfare Gift Voucher to Beloved Rabbits, to use for owners and bunnies in need? They are available here: https://belovedrabbits.org/welfare-giftvouchers/
These vouchers allow us to support owners who are faced with incredibly difficult circumstances where the rabbit or rabbits in their care are in real danger of not having their basic needs met,
through no fault of the owner.
The demand for rehoming space is exceptionally high, despite our best efforts, even the highest priority cases have to wait a number of weeks or even months before we have a space open up within the rescue for them.
For owners who are struggling with significant personal challenges, they are often desperate for help, and having to wait even a few weeks is at risk of making things even more difficult. Often, the last thing in the world these owners want to do is give up their rabbits, but their circumstances are such that they feel they have no choice.
Our Rehoming Team always do all we can to fully discuss the issues and offer any advice that we can. In the meantime, for those most in need, we can offer supplies to try and lessen the burden and ensure the rabbits are being fed and have a clean space to live.
This is only possible through donations of Welfare Gift Vouchers we receive, and we then have to assess who is most in need to receive the supplies that those donations cover.
We recently had an application from a single parent, who was in ill-health and who had little family available to support. She was trying to do all she could to look after her family, and they had rabbits who they were deeply attached to.
Unfortunately, they had been told both rabbits were female, which turned out not to be the case. The owner was really struggling with the number of rabbits they now had – they did not have the space to keep them all separate and give them all the living environment she knew they needed, and she was struggling to afford to feed them al
Based on a telephone call received today, providing a typical example of the kind of rehoming calls we receive on a daily basis.

In 2024, Beloved Rabbits received an overwhelming 30 plus rehoming requests every month. While we work tirelessly to help every bun, the demand for space in our rescue, on our Rehoming Asssistance Programme and foster network is at an all-time high, and sadly, the wait is longer than anyone would like.
Why?
- Fewer foster carers due to rising costs of living.
- More rabbits are surrendered than adopted.
- Pregnant or unbonded rabbits need extra space to avoid conflicts.
- Every rabbit requires time, care, and funds for and most need vaccinations, neutering, and microchipping before rehoming.
Our team is working hard to prioritise the most urgent cases, but we need your help to make a difference.
How you can help:
- Consider fostering or adopting.
- Volunteer with us.
- Donate to support rabbits in need.
Together, we can make a difference to every bun who needs us because every bunny matters!
