Did you know that we’re one of the few vets in the area to offer keyhole surgery?
We like to stay ahead of the game to provide the best care for our beloved pets. That's why we’ve invested in the equipment and training to offer keyhole surgery for neutering. When done in this way our patients have a lot less pain as the procedure is much less invasive, ensuring your pet's comfort and a quicker recovery.

Changes to Prescribing Rules
‼ CHANGES TO PRESCRIBING GUIDELINES ‼
As some of you will be aware, the RCVS have brought into effect new prescribing guidelines for Veterinary Surgeons. These guidelines become official from Friday 12 January 2024 and applied to Veterinary prescription only medications. These changes have been brought in to help tackle antibiotic resistance, reduce the environmental impact of some medications and to support us with safe prescribing.
We have been working in practice since being made aware of these changes to reduce the impact on our clients as much as we possibly can and for most of you this has hopefully meant no to minimal disruption to your usual services. However, some of you may have noticed a change in our ability to prescribe some medications, particularly anti-parasiticides, and we ask for your understanding while we work to adhere to these new guidelines.
From Friday 12 January 2024, anti-parasiticides (flea, tick and wormer medications) will be in the same category as antibiotics/ antimicrobials and controlled drugs. This means that we will need to see your pet in-person and form a prescription before these medications can be dispensed. Please be aware that these prescriptions will be for specific named drugs therefore if your pet required a change in medication before their “prescription ran out” then they would require a further appointment for the new prescription to be generated.
We kindly ask for you to be mindful that these changes have been mandated by the RCVS and to be courteous to our staff when communicating with them. If you have any questions regarding the new guidelines, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
As always, our clients and their pets remain our priority and we will help you as best we can whilst adhering to the new guidelines.
Things you can do to help us, help you:
1. Give us at least 48 hours’ notice when ordering repeat medications, including flea, tick and wormer medications.
2. If your pet h
