Hate these things buts it’s that time of year when we see ticks quite often when grooming.

Check your dogs regular, they grab on to anywhere they can and if not removed quickly can cause problems 🤢

Always remove with a tick twister to make sure you get legs and head out. Never squeeze or use alcohol.

Heard of The Harrogate Vet? They have just opened a brand spanking new animal hospital in Harrogate.

Oscar and Vera had a little visit yesterday where they were well and truly made a fuss off.

Its amazing to have such a facility local to us, staff were super friendly and Jo (the vet) was very informative and knowledgable. We loved the dedicated parking spaces outside the front door 🩷💙!

Many friends and family know about my health journey but I wanted to share some more info.

Having been so overweight for a good 6 (plus) years, I knew for a long time I needed to make some changes and lose some weight but this was easier said than done. Many, many failed diets and exercise goals, nothing seemed to work for me.

I’ve learnt that mental health is key to success in achieving any goal - not just weight loss but any goal/target.

So far I’ve lost 4.5 stone and have to keep pinching myself that I’ve actually achieved this. At the age of 51 I would never in a million years thought I’d enjoy exercising again but joining the new local Brimhams Gym has been my turning point.

Its been hard work but enjoyable and thats something that I know others can achieve too.
