Meet Coco 🐾
This tiny little Chihuahua came to us to support her luxating patella, and she has been an absolute star throughout her sessions 💚

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic, low-impact way to help dogs with luxating patella. The water supports the joints, reducing pressure on the knees while still allowing controlled movement. This helps to strengthen the surrounding muscles, improve stability, and encourage a more balanced gait without the strain that can come with land-based exercise.

For small breeds like Coco, hydrotherapy can also build confidence and body awareness, all while working safely and comfortably at their own pace. Every session is carefully tailored to suit her size, ability and individual needs — because no two dogs are the same.

Fireworks season is nearly here, and for many dogs, New Year’s Eve can be a stressful time 🎆🐾

One of the best ways to help your dog cope is through calming enrichment. Licking is a natural soothing behaviour that can help lower stress levels and provide a positive distraction during loud noises.

Meet Rubble 🐾
A lovely Cane Corso who was a little hesitant at first, but soon took to the waves! With gentle encouragement, patience and reassurance, he soon settled and began to build confidence in the water.

Hydrotherapy should always be introduced at the dog’s pace. Taking the time to let them feel safe, understand the environment and trust the process is key to creating positive experiences and long-term progress. Every dog is different, and listening to what they’re telling us makes all the difference 💚

✨ Meet Daisy ✨
This gorgeous 5-year-old Dachshund is undergoing hydrotherapy following IVDD, and we’re so proud of how well she’s doing! 💪💦

IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) affects the discs in the spine, which can bulge or rupture and put pressure on the spinal cord. Sadly, Dachshunds are particularly prone to IVDD due to their long backs and short legs, which place extra strain on the spine over time.

Hydrotherapy is an amazing part of Daisy’s rehabilitation journey 🐕‍🦺

💧 Allows safe strengthening of muscles

Meet Murphy 🐾💙
This gorgeous Cockapoo is working hard to regain strength and rebuild muscle mass following his TPLO surgery — and he’s doing an amazing job!

Murphy’s rehabilitation programme combines physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, giving him the best of both worlds. Physiotherapy helps to restore joint range of motion, improve balance, and target specific muscle groups, while hydrotherapy allows him to strengthen safely with reduced impact on his healing joint. 💧💪

The progress he’s making is fantastic — his strength is steadily improving, his movement is becoming more confident, and his determination is just lovely to see. We’re so proud of how well he’s doing and can’t wait to continue supporting his recovery journey! 🌟🐶
