Paws A While was born from our love of animals & worrying about our dogs - when we couldn't make the odd walk or be at home with them. We love the 'pack' like our own & will give them the kind of care they deserve. If you're not able to walk your best friend, we'll take them out com

e rain or shine. It's a proper dog walk in every sense of the word. Every dog is precious & unique. For some it's a sniff & a mooch as they take their time enjoying the outdoors. For others it's a full on 'dog adventure' that's needed & they want the high pace around the woods and across the hills. For others it's somewhere in between, and that's just fine. There's no route march across concrete with us. We wholeheartedly believe that dogs should socialise with others and enjoy buddy walks. We work with them to achieve this and also offer help with separation anxiety when they're away from you. Quite a few of our pups had these issues and are now living the dream, off lead and happily playing with their dog buddies. You can even see how they're doing with regular updates & photos/videos, 'pupdates' are always loved. It could be you need us regularly or maybe a one off, we understand life can throw us a curve ball... or stick. :)

If you're going out for the day, we'll call in to check on them/go for walks/have playtime or maybe they need a loo break and a fuss, however often you wish. Whilst we don't offer overnight stays, we walk them if they're staying somewhere else, local to Knighton, or cover the daily walks while someone else is staying at night. A special 3rd birthday today to our Harley Barley.
Unfortunately there’s no birthday zoomies today as he’s confined to short lead walks.
Once he’s back in full HB mode, we’ll have the bestest play time.

IT’S WAGGIES FROM THE COMM DAY! 🎉🐶

Oh ok…. The official name is Walkies from The Comm, but let’s be honest, ‘waggies’ sums it up beautifully. 😄

Why do we do it?
Well, if you’re lucky enough to have a dog, you want the best for them.
Socialisation is key for a happy & balanced doggy & human life. Dogs who are able to interact, exercise & play with other dogs & people, can learn that the world is a fun place to be. It combats reactivity, anxiousness & ébuilds confidence.

So…. How much does it cost for the walk? £0, absolutely nothing, nada, freebie. You can’t say that’s not unusual these days.

If you’d want to join us in the Market Café afterwards, then it’s the price of whatever you choose from the scrumptious offerings.

We leave from outside The Comm at 10am, usually back in an hour.

Don’t forget your waterproof/mud proof boots. 🥾

I’ve been to see the lovely Penny this morning at the Surgery.
Having been checked over I’ve been given some antibiotics and told to ‘sit and stay’.
So, rarely, I’m doing what I’m told.
Hamish is holding my lap down in the armchair and every now and again Mr Paws/Uncle Biscuit checks I’m being a good girl.
I’ll see you all very soon, probably hanging out the window of the Woof Wagon, ears flapping and glad to get out with my buddies. 💕

All our Pups are very important, but yesterday Graham and I went out on a very important mission to walk Otis & Lenny in their roles as official VIPs. I can’t reveal anything further just yet, but when I can you’ll be the first to know. 🕵️

When I’m not trying to avoid zooming dogs I have to watch those sticks. Some of them have become experts at the whack on the back of the legs. 🙈

Oh Mademoiselle Flourette. 🥰 You make our hearts soooo happy. Little Flo is deaf and so has a long line to join her buddies on walks. Today, she went free range to stretch those lovely legs. Her friends loved it and ran with her. Go go go Flo! 💕
