🐈 Is your cat microchipped? 🐈⬛
Just a reminder, you have until the 10th of June to get your cat microchipped. The law is changing and every cat over 20 weeks has to be microchipped by law.
🐱 Book your cat in to be microchipped for £20 🐱
If you are unsure if your cat is already microchipped, feel free to bring them in and we can scan them for you to check!
🐶 Labrador x Vizsla puppies 🐶
These 3 adorable puppies were in for their second vaccinations with our vet Thomas. All very well behaved and safe the to say they have certainly grown since their first vaccinations!
And as you can see they were extra excited when we brought out the camera and treats 📸🦴

🤍 Gorgeous Weimaraners 🤍
This pair happened to meet each other in the waiting room last week 🥰🥰
Lola on the left was here for her booster & puppy Remy for her first vaccinations!
Weimaraners were originally a hunting dog with German origin. They are described as highly intelligent and extremely loyal ❤️🥰😍
🖤 B U D 🖤
This lovely boy is Bud. He is nearly 18 years old!
Bud was previously diagnosed with Diabetes mellitus but is one of the very fortunate cats who has gone into full remission, and no longer requires treatment for this condition.
He came in for a check up with vet Naomi R and was given a health check and glucose testing which was all normal 🎉🥳🎉
This lovely lad then had some treats and head fusses and eventually fell asleep on the table 😊🤩
Naomi will see him for another check up in a few months just to make sure he is doing ok 🤗🥰
💙 His and Hers 💖
This gorgeous pair are Ethel and Urnest 🤩
They both came in to be neutered at the end of March and recovered well from their procedures 🥳
They went home in their lovely medical pet t-shirts. We now have ones suitable for our male patients so we don’t have to worry so much about going to the toilet in them! These body suits help to stop our patients interfering with their surgical sites and most pets prefer these to a collar though sometimes a collar is essential! 😉😊
Well done both 🥳🎉

This handsome boy is Woody. He came in to see vet Naomi J for his vaccinations and a full check over a couple of months ago.
In January, Woody visited our referral centre; Oakwood Veterinary Referrals in Northwich as he was experiencing random pain episodes, he had an MRI scan done that showed one of the discs in his neck was compressing his spinal cord. Our wonderful orthopaedic surgeons performed a surgery called a Ventral Slot Decompression on him and he is feeling much better and is steadily getting back to normal.
Well done Woody and the Oakwood team ❤️🥳

New friend alert‼️🥰🐶
Meet Billy, he is a Lancashire Heeler. He came yesterday for his puppy pack which included his first vaccines, kennel cough vaccine and flea treatment. We look forward to seeing him grow up as he comes for his follow up vaccines and health checks
🤩 FREE NEW PET CHECK 🤩
Ruby is a rescue Cavapoo and has come to live with her new owner. One of the services we offer is a Free New Healthy Pet Check. It’s a useful opportunity for your new pet to have a clinical examination, check their chip details, check their vaccination status and to come for some treats and cuddles 🥰🤗🦴
It also helps your pet get used to us and hopefully is a positive experience for them ❤️☺️
Ruby will hopefully settle in well in her new home and we will see her when she is due her vaccines. She’s a lovely girl 🥰

The lovely Puddles has had to have some dental surgery recently. Naomi R identified a lesion on one her teeth and advised we take some dental x-rays and remove the affected tooth! 🩻🦷
Whilst she was under the anaesthetic we identified another tooth with the same problem and so removed that too ☺️
Puddles is 13years old so we took this into consideration with her anaesthetic and the techniques we use. We called her owners the day after her procedure and they reported she seemed like nothing had happened!! 🤩🤗😊
The photos show her on the day of the procedure and 10 days later! And the last picture shows one of her poorly teeth. 📸
Well done Puddles 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
We are so fortunate that our clients have access to our two 24 hour OOH centres, Beech House Veterinary Centre and Willows Veterinary Hospital.
Your pets’ clinical records are accessible at both sites so you don’t have to worry about the teams not having your pets history!
You may even spot some of the nursing or vet team there as we will often work weekend shifts too!

Toucan is a rescue lurcher who came to see vet Naomi R for a check up recently and was a very good boy 😊🥳
We are certain he is the only friend with this wonderful name on our records! 😍🥰☺️🤩

The lovely Cassie came in to see vet Naomi R for her vaccines and help with an itchy ear! Naomi did some in house cytology and identified evidence of an ear infection, thankfully some drops cleared it up 🤩🤩🤩
Cassie is such a good girl, she allows her owners to do all of her grooming so ear drops were no problem 😉

This gorgeous little lady came in for her final post op check on Saturday after her Spey procedure.
Everything has healed beautifully and she can finally stop wearing her post op body suit. Let it go Elsa! 🥰💙
✨Happy National Whippet Day✨

Liam is our rock n roll star ⭐️ !!
He was such a good boy when he came in for his vaccinations and health check recently, to make it more cost effective he even signed up for our Pet Health Plan!
He loved having treats from Naomi R but we struggled to keep him still for the photos 😊📸
Such a happy boy! We will see him again in 6 months for his vet check included in the plan ⭐️
🥰🐶❤️Meet Pippa❤️🐶🥰
Pippa came to see vet Ren when she managed to get hold of a box that had rat poison in it. Rat poison is very dangerous if ingested as it can cause clotting disorders. Luckily, she arrived within a short time window so we could make her sick and empty her stomach of any of the poison. She then came in for a blood test every day for three days to check her clotting ability and make sure there was no lasting damage. Luckily Pippa didn’t need any further treatment as her blood clotting was still normal after 3 days.
🥰🐰Meet Smokey and Milkshake 🐇🥰 these little lop eared brother and sister came in for a vet check and their vaccines with Naomi J. We vaccinate rabbits against Myxomatosis and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD sometimes known as VHD). Myxomatosis is spread by biting insects such as fleas , and VHD which can be spread by wild animals and flies. Therefore we recommend vaccinating all rabbits, but especially those that are housed outside.
😽 HAPPY CATURDAY 😽
Meet Bonnie and Leia, 2 new additions to the HH roster, they came in to see vet Naomi J for a free new pet health check and were less than impressed at the treats on offer. We look forward to watching them grow up into beautiful cats 😻😺
🖤⚪️ DALMATIANS ⚪️🖤
Brother and Sister duo Merlin and Gigi came to see vet Naomi R for their check up and kennel cough vaccines in January. They are such a beautiful pair 😍🤩
Damatians originated in what is now Croatia and were used as hunting dogs and also as carriage dogs. Carriage dogs would trot alongside carriages to protect those inside from bandits and were usually owned by wealthy traders and merchants. 🐾 🐾 🐾
These two were certainly good at hunting out the treats!
❤️ RUBY ❤️
Ruby is a gorgeous Welsh Springer Spaniel, she came to see us in December for her vaccinations and kennel cough and was a very good girl.
Welsh Springers temperaments are described as affectionate, friendly and loyal ❤️ I’m sure Ruby’s owners would agree with all of this 🤩😊
We will see Ruby for a vet check up in 6 months as she’s on our pet health plan 🤗🤗🤗

🖤 MILLIE 🖤
Marvellous Millie is on our Pet Health Plan so came for a check up and so that we can prescribe her flea and worming control appropriately.
As you can tell she’s a fairly laid back customer and was such a good girl whilst we gave her a full clinical exam 🖤😊
Thank you to many of our clients who helped support this worthy cause ❤️❤️❤️❤️
A HUGE thank you to all of our clients and colleagues, including those from Manchester Vet Centre, Holly House Veterinary Surgery and Willows Veterinary Hospital, who donated a fantastic amount of food over the Christmas period🎁
All donations were collected by one of our student nurses, Jennifer, who donated the food to Carla Lane Animals in Need Liverpool 🐶🐱
Thank you all so much again!!

Why do cats knead❔ Kittens knead their mother's stomach to stimulate milk flow. If your cat kneads your lap during cuddles, it may indicate their connection from the secure bond with their mother to the bond they share with you. And the more they knead, the more they love you! 💗
Sometimes they drive our patience, but we always love our goofballs. #feelgoodfeeling

To exotic or not to exotic, that is the question… 🐢 🦎 🐍 🐦 . . Vet nurses are ready to care for all pets, no matter how many legs they have! #vetnurse #vnam #vnam2023 #EmpowerOurVNs #vetlife
Registered veterinary nurses and student veterinary nurses are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. They are regulated by them in terms of their conduct and keeping up to date with training. The term veterinary nurse is a contentious conversation in the vet world as anyone can use this term, even if not qualified or registered. Efforts have been made to change this, and we fully support this; our nursing team deserves to have their title protected and for pet owners to know your vet nurse is fully qualified to look after your beloved pet. Registered vet nurses RVN and registered student nurses RSVN are always qualified and trained. #vetnurse #vnam #vnam2023 #EmpowerOurVNs #vetlife
How many got it right? Comment below! . . . . Becoming a registered veterinary nurse takes time, dedication, and passion. That’s why we appreciate our nurses each and every day. #vetnurse #vnam #vnam2023 #EmpowerOurVNs #vetlife

It’s like the Rocky IV training montage. But with cats… 🙀 We know giving your cat tablets can be… challenging. A popular way to help is hiding the tablets in with their food or treats. Luckily, we have a wonderful video tutorial on how you can do just that 👇😺 #CatHacks #HappyCat
Did you know ❔ Christmas leftovers can be unsafe for your four-legged friends to eat. Leftovers may contain ingredients that are toxic for your pets or contain sharp bones which are harmful for them to ingest 🍗 #Chrismtasdangersforpets
Did you know ❔ Chocolate has a chemical called theobromine in it, this is toxic for dogs and cats 🍫🐾 Ingesting chocolate can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, hyperactivity, and tremors, even if only a small amount is eaten. So, don’t let your pets get into the advent calendars this Christmas 🎄 #Chrismtasdangersforpets
