RL Dressage needs your help!

Sadly our current base is now on the market. Whilst we are lucky that we have notice so it’s not a mad panic, we are on the lookout for a new base to continue our high class competition and training yard. We are looking for:

10-15 stables (more/less considered for the right property).
Arena with good surface (indoor always a bonus but not essential!).
Appropriate grazing for the amount of stables, some winter turnout needed weather good dry land or all weather turnout pens.
On site accommodation a bonus but not essential.
Shared use an option.
Ideally North West location.

45 minute individual sessions are £45 including travel or arena hire, pairs sessions £30pp for a 45 minute session.

A fabulous ride with Donner Fee RL (Don Nobless X Rubin Royal) at The British Hanoverian Horse Society Annual Show. Luckily the judges agreed - a top score of 9 for rideability from the Test Rider and the judge commented of all the mares she is the one he’d like to ride 🥰 Next stop for Donner Fee RL - Aintree International Equestrian Centre High Profile Show 🤞🤞🤞

Congratulations to Julie Matthews and ‘Fairytale Romance RL’ and India Macdougal and ‘Cascadura’ who both obtained a Novice win and qualifying scores at Novice level at our most local venue Arley Moss Equestrian. Both horses were sourced by RL Dressage and are kept on training livery with us, and Julie and India have worked hard on forming a partnership with their new dancing partners! The hard work is certainly paying off, great work team 💪👏🙌🎉

Schooling Livery available at RL Dressage!

Having a particular hurdle in your training that you need some help with?
Struggling to fit consistent training with your horse around work and family life?
Have a young horse that needs guidance from an experienced team?
Or an older horse ready to move up the levels?

RL Dressage can help! A small team of professional riders with experience from young horses through to small tour level, plus previous experience in Eventing and Show Jumping so able to help improve the flatwork of your horse whatever the discipline. Lightweight riders available so ponies are more than welcome!

Fantastic facilities including light and airy barn stables, indoor arena so training can continue whatever the weather, individual turnout, wash box with hot water/heat lamp, and a small set up ensuring each horse gets the individual care they need.

Owners welcome to visit regularly and lessons can be available at any stage of training if required. Short or long term spaces available.

It will be a quiet one for us at this years British Hanoverian Annual Show and the first time in quite a few years we won’t be taking a foal with us! We’re looking forward to watching the Foal Championship which this year is taking part in a Gala Evening followed by a showcase of top British Stallions! If you’re able to travel to Moreton Morrell get yourself down to pick out some future champions 🏆🏆🏆

Fabulous photos of and ‘Super Sol’ (Windhover II) competing in the Inter I Silver at the Winter Championships earlier this year at the exciting new venue of . This was their 7th championship together, having competed at every level from Elementary upwards. Even more special to see his former rider, and find out that his very first show was at Addington, 17 years ago in the 4 year old qualifier! It takes a huge team effort to keep an older horse looking and feeling so well competing at the higher levels, and we are very lucky to have the support of so many great professionals within the industry 💪

It’s always such fun to take a look back at the young horses’ journeys. Here’s ‘Fangio WD’ owned by Julie Matthews and bred by Windmill Dressage - Livery & Stud at 3 years old competing in his very first show handled by Rob, fast forward to winning his first regional title earlier this year with Rob in the saddle!

Heading back from a fantastic trip to .eec for the Area Festival. Big shout out to the Port Royal team, who must run the friendliest show we’ve been to and coped with todays testing conditions so calmly! ‘Super Sol’ and retained the PSG Silver Freestyle title from last year, made even more special as they made a last minute decision to switch to Angus’ Meatloaf medley, which fitted perfectly and lifted the performance 🎶🎶🎶 A second place in the Inter I silver today claimed a second ticket to the Championships 🎫 Huge thanks to everyone who kept the yard running smoothly at home, all those who help keep Sol looking and feeling on top form, and our fantastic trainers 🙌🙌 Roll on Arena UK in October!

Flatwork/Test Riding Clinics 2024 at RL Dressage

Suitable for all ages/levels/disciplines. Rob has competed successfully in all three disciplines, so whether you want to work on your flatwork to improve your jumping, need to brush up on your test riding before your next event, planning to move up a level and don’t know if you’re ready, or just want to have fun wile learning with your horse, these clinics are for you! White boards and flowers will be set out so a great opportunity for young horses. Indoors too so we will stay dry whatever the weather 🌧️ or shelter from the sun ☀️ (unlikely 😂)

Competition Livery available at RL Dressage!

We have a rare space become available for competition livery at RL Dressage. Whether you are looking to get some ‘miles on the clock’ with your young horse before you take the reins, have a horse needing to move up the levels, or simply wish to enjoy watching your horse train and compete as an owner, we’re here to help! Conveniently located with easy access from the M6, with many top show centres close by, and regular access to top trainers including Olympic medalists. A small professional team with experience from 3 year olds right through to small tour level. A small yard of only 12 horses ensures top class care and the individual attention each horse needs. Fantastic facilities making sure all your horses needs are met! Owners are welcome to visit regularly to watch your horse train, and regular updates given for those who struggle to make time for frequent trips.

5th place for ‘Fangio WD’ in a huge Elementary class at Somerford High Profile Show! 🥳🎉 A few mistakes in his first run through of the Championship test but super pleased with the improvement of the quality of work resulting in lots of 8’s on his score sheet 🔥 Thank you for the brilliant addition of the High Profile Show allowing more riders to gain experience in the atmosphere of such a big show 🙌🙌

More firsts for RL Dressage this Bank Holiday! A proud day at Foxes where India and Cascadura competed in their first show together and India’s first ever BD tests, winning a big Bronze section and finishing third overall! 🙌🙌 Vicky Carter’s four year old ‘Viviana’ smashed her first show having been under saddle for less than a month, we we’re competing HC as just for experience but she achieved a qualifying score and would have won her section 😎 Exciting times ahead this year!
