After hearing of a few Adder Bite cases in the area, here is some information on what you should do if your dog was to be bitten by an Adder.
Adders are generally more active in the spring and early summer; having just come out of hibernation, their venom is more potent. At this time, they are also hungrier and more likely to bite.
Adders are not known for their aggression, they will only bite in self-defence and this can be a problem for curious dogs that come across them when theyโre bounding about.

The firework season is upon us again and, whilst this can be an exciting time of year for humans, unfortunately it often isn't for our pets.
