Our small Gotland sheep herd have now finished lambing. These sheep provide excellent w**d control and their fleeces are much sought after. They are also naturally inquisitive and friendly. We will have lambs available later in the year if anyone is interested.

Sparky has kicked off the 2024 foaling season with a bay and white c**t.
A relief in more ways than one; Sparky hasn’t foaled for the last 4 years and became known as “The Kidnapper” for stealing other mares’ foals at birth - a real nuisance when they run as a herd 🙈.

Our Shetland foal passports are now back so ponies are ready for pastures new. All Cadno prefix so breeding can be seen on Grassroots.

**Now in her new home**

Cadno Crystal Skipper: 2yo bay filly out of Top Rock Shy and by Top Rock Shadrack. Currently standing 32.5”, plenty of bone. Quiet filly, easy to catch and handle. Has walked out on lanes. Lives out 24/7 but stabled currently to have calming influence on weanlings. Not laminitic, grazes rich, open pasture in summer, and needs minimal haylage in winter. No homes with restricted grazing or muzzles please.
Wormed and feet trimmed regularly. Will make calm, quiet kids pony, driving pony (full brother also available if you want a pair!) or companion.
Hurworth Todd (reg tiny bay roan stallion) did get into Skipper’s field for 24hours back in the early summertime, but she was not thought to be in season and not seen covered - just being honest, just in case!
£1000 for quick sale as need to cut down. Other reg Shetlands available.

All our foals will be available for sale at weaning (the oldest are due to come in this week). We are cutting back a little on ponies, so will also have yearling c**ts, a 2yo filly, and some mares - either with foals at foot, or after weaning. Most have been running with stallion for 2024 foals

All our foals will be available to the best of homes at weaning. We have retained fillies every year for the past few years but there’s no room at the inn for any more unfortunately.
Please contact me for any further info. They will all be halter trained prior to leaving, wormed, and used to being handled.
I also have a chestnut dun filly with 4 whites, and another chestnut and white filly - will get more pics tomorrow 🙃

Cadno Crystal Skipper. Bay yearling filly out of Top Rock Shy and by Top Rock Shadrack. Skippy is a lovely, quiet, friendly filly looking for pastures new. She was a late foal last year hence still being with us (plus we’re not very good at saying good bye to our ponies 😝). She lives out all year around, is wormed to date and saw the farrier a fortnight ago. She has been walked out on the lanes, lives out in mixed company on unrestricted pasture. Easy to do in all ways and very friendly. Currently standing at 32” so would be ideally suited as a future toddler’s pony or driving pony. £900

Dam: Fairy Calypso (buckskin dun) Sire: Top Rock Shadrack (Palomino) Beautiful little filly, friendly sweet temperament and striking movement. Currently losing foal coat so looks a bit moth eaten.
