When your passions are dogs and fitness its sensible to combine the two for your next step in the world. Oh, and when you have a name like “Mandy Walker” then really its written in the stars……….. Heres a bit about me:
Some of you may have seen me out running or walking almost every day and in all weathers! Nothing like getting out in the great outdoors to blow the cobwebs away. I was a Police offi
cer for 15 years, which was a rewarding career and one that I loved. Over the last few years I had the privilege of watching how my dog Kola had such a positive impact on patients living with Dementia, as I worked with her in her capacity as a Therapet. Kola was registered with the charity Canine Concern, and we attended local care homes together. I often witnessed a special connection between Kola and the individuals we engaged with. I have also volunteered with Dogs Trust where I’ve worked with people who share my passion for dogs, and witnessed the benefit exercise has on dogs of all ages. I know from my own experience how the companionship of a dog can have such a positive effect on your physical and mental wellbeing, and therefor not a surprise that ownership of dogs has increased rapidly. Many people have commitments which means it’s not easy to give dogs the exercise they require, SO that’s where I can help. I offer a dog walking service in Lanark and some surrounding areas. I’m fully insured, first aid (for dogs) trained and disclosure checked. All certificates can be shown on request. My van is specially fitted with dog safety in mind with secure custom built dog crates and appropriate ventilation. If you think I can help you then please get in touch.
