Lancaster Vets has been part of the community since 2000, bringing the personal touch to veterinary care that we think is so important. We think getting to know each of our patients and clients personally and ensuring they receive the care they deserve is the best way to provide fantastic veterinary services. We offer all of the services for the day-to-day care of your family pet, from vaccination

s and consultations to routine operations. We also welcome visiting experts who can provide soft tissue surgery, cardiology and orthopaedics, without you having to travel to an unfamiliar surgery. When visiting Lancaster Vets please be aware that we have a car park to the left of the building and full disability access throughout the practice!

Meet Bernard, our first FIP survivor!

We saw Bernard at the end of last year with a swollen tummy. After taking some bloods we suspected a disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). FIP is caused by feline coronavirus which attacks the cats immune system and is often fatal.

Previously there wasn't a known treatment, but recently there has been a new drug developed to combat this nasty disease.
We started Bernard on the new drug and after several weeks of treatment his swollen tummy had completely gone down and he was back to his normal happy self! Were so pleased Bernard has made a full recovery and he's an absolute testament to the effort his family has put him to help him combat FIP.❤️❤️

Did you know that obesity can predispose your pets to health conditions such as diabetes, skin disease, inflammatory disease and urinary disease? It also can make them more at risk of getting arthritis due to more pressure being placed on their joints?
